Wish I was a little closer...not a fan of the Jeep dealerships near me.
Ours are marginal at best.

I asked about the military discount (I’m not retired) and they said it’s also for disabled vets (technically me on paper.) They asked “well HOW disabled ARE you??”

I don't care for the 1960s sales tactics "I have to go check with my manager" and then after the 2nd time of that, the sales manager comes out and jokes around and tries to become your best buddy......... ugh, I hate that but the dealers around Des Moines all do that.
But the shop at Dewey in Ankeny is small enough, still fairly personal level of service, they do decent work (and have an accessories guy there part time and an accessories department)

Any of the dealerships owned by Ken Garff sell that way. MSRP only, gotta check with my manager.

That's insulting as hell, IMO. I've worked with people with various disabilities for years (Vocational Rehabilitation agency for one) - physical, mental, birth, injury, whatever. They'd have no clue unless they lived it. You may not SEE a disability but that doesn't mean it's not life-altering or limiting, and those who have lost limbs look very disabled, but don't sell them short.
That "how disabled..........." bit is a crock. Doesn't matter, IMO, not especially for something like that.
Our military, police and similar have gone into jobs that risk life, limb, mental and physical health, they may even come out of it with cancer later. If ya served, who are they to ask about disability.
Sorry, but that really rubs me the wrong way.
It reminds me of a counselor we had at work who was standing in the office (while our Sr. network admin and I were there checking out network connectivity) and he was talking with the others in the office about a client he had - he was complaining about the guy being late, missing appointments, fidgety, and went on with a list of complaints and I knew EXACTLY what the guy was talking about......... and it was the first time I actually wanted to punch a co-worker. I mean - you are hired to work with and help these people and yet you don't get what all of those signs and symptoms are and you complain about them - in front of others? If the guy hadn't been up to retire in a couple of months I'd have done my best to drag him in front of the agency administrator.

Wish the ones near me were decent but they are not, drag their feet over the sills scuff everything up, put the lug nuts on with a giant impact gun so they are very hard to get off, try and charge you for anything they can. No thanks.

They even do the 5 tire rotation for me since I have a matching wheel and tire I bought for mine.
My JT they rotated the tires, I didn't even have to ask. On the service request I just said "Jeep Wave oil change"

On Wifey's JL though, I specifically asked for a 5 tire rotation. Service advisor said "yep, no problem". They parked it outside backed up against a wall on a 10 degree snowy day when I picked it up. So I drove home, and looked it all over in my somewhat warmer garage. I could tell the 4 tires were rotated, but the spare was still sitting on the back with all it's never used markings still visible on the tire. Oh well. On a warmer day here I'll just swap it into the rotation somewhere.

WTH? Seriously!?

I know everyone has bad days and we all say stupid things, but I hope to heck they apologized.

Can you name the dealership so those who may be in that area can avoid it?

Not that simple “here.”

3 dealers within Id say 30 minutes or so.

1: (where I bought it) was a bad customer experience when my wife went to order her 22’ which we ended up getting from @Koons_of_Tysons_Corner -I won’t give them my business at all

2: Are treating it like a medical practice. “Due to staffing, we haven’t been accepting new service clients since the summer.”

3: The one im mentioning in this thread.

Beyond a half hour drive I’ll just eat the $$ and do it myself. It may be easier to bring this dealer into compliance.
Koons of Tyson's Corner is a bad dealership. I am from Maryland and we pay tax on the difference on the new car and our trade. That dealership tried to pocket the tax savings. Once we got that figured out I went up to financing and they tried to screw me on the rate. I have a great credit score and they couldn't touch the rate from my bank by 5%. It is the worst experience I have ever had.

I don't think balancing is included in the Jeep Wave program.
It's not and shouldn't need to be done.
I've gone the full life of sets of tires with only one balancing - when installed.
I've had my tires rotated with each Wave visit - which I'm out of now, I've used it all up - and I can still take my truck up into the 90+ mph area and nary a quiver or vibration of any type.
My Silverado went close to 48,000 miles on the original tires - they were rotated like clockwork but never balanced. Same for it - could to 80 mph and no vibrations at all. Smooth as silk.
Unless you flip a weight off, have a tire problem or uneven wear, balance or weight of the wheel and tire should not change. If it does, something has physically changed.

I could tell the 4 tires were rotated, but the spare was still sitting on the back with all it's never used markings still visible on the tire.
I knew for a fact my spare had been rotated onto the truck - the RR wheel was dusty but the other three clean. It had the "spare tire dust pattern" on it.

I am from Maryland and we pay tax on the difference on the new car and our trade. That dealership tried to pocket the tax savings.
You pay the tax on the total cost minus the value of the trade, like we do.
You have already paid the tax on your traded in vehicle.
I had to make sure when I sold my trade before getting my JT that I figured in what the extra tax on the JT would cost me without a trade. The Jeep dealer in West Des Moines low-balled me on trade and the more I thought about it and the more research I did, the more "bugged" I was - so I took my Chevy to a local Chevy dealer and asked if they buy used trucks. I sold it to the Chevy dealer for about 3 grand more than the Jeep dealer offered me as a trade. That difference paid for the extra tax and still left me with almost 2 grand more in my pocket. Gotta do the math.

At least the dealers here pull up a list of financial institutions on their computer and tell you to pick one - and our credit union is on that list, generally with the best rates. They may be stuck in the past in other ways, but for financing, they actually let YOU choose and explain the differences.

I added the passive entry, used jscan to get it all working and decided to have the sales code put into my VIN so that if anything happened, it would show up and if there was a future flash, I'd not lose the settings and have to put them back in. I'd asked about it in the past and was told "$50-100" for adding that sales code to my VIN. It takes a call to Jeep, takes some time to do. I didn't expect it for free. Anyone like an insurance person or potential buyer could see my truck has passive entry.
Anyway, I asked then if they could do it and said I'd pay if necessary. I told the service writer when I ordered I really wanted it but it got missed when the order was put in so I added it myself.
I went to pick up the truck (wave oil, tire rotation, etc.) and they surprised me with a $0 bill. I asked about the sales code being added to the VIN and the service writer said "yeah, they even downloaded the new flash for your truck and put it in and tested everything to make sure it all still worked and it does". So they called Jeep, added the passive entry sales code to my VIN, flashed the BCM to test it out, no charge.
Another time I had lost one of the POM rivets that hold the splash guards on the truck. I had installed the guards myself. I had busted a rivet in the past and used a Harbor Freight POM rivet to fix it but although the tool is fine, their POM rivets aren't that great. It didn't hold.
It was in for - wave oil and tire rotation and I asked if they could put in the proper rivet, I told them that I installed the splash guards myself so whatever they needed to charge to fix it while there was fine.
New POM rivet installed, no charge.

Just had my 1st Wave oil change last weekend. The service guy asked what size tires were on it. After I told him 37's, the only thing he said was they would not balance them. My opinion, if I don't have any vibration issues, why bother balancing them anyway.

I know this has been discussed quite a bit, but I ran into it today for scheduling my first jeep wave oil change. Figured I’d get some concrete answers from @JeepCares to show the dealer.

-Scheduled over the phone. I didn’t buy there and they know nothing of my truck other than it’s a JT

-Asked if I also wanted a tire rotation and those run $25(?) Said somewhere between $20-$30, can’t remember.

-I said I wanted it, but they are free and included. He said they charge for that service. Didn’t argue over the phone and figured I’d get official documentation to confirm what we all know.

-Asked specifically about bigger tires and exclusions as that includes most of us.

If you log into the Mopar site and have your vehicle registered to your account it will keep track of them and show what you have left. Show that to the dealer.

Just like he said.
Saw this a few times in this thread. Seems very handy, but we have no dealerships with this option here. It’s pretty rural/suburbs

That’s too bad. I dealt directly with Craig for online/forum sales and it was a total piece of cake. NH though so zero tax and no trade in.

Got $1000 off for financing and despite my 800+ score the rate was horrendous. Finance person just said feel free to refinance as that’s what all do. They just asked that I wait 3 payments so they get whatever incentive it may be is. This is fair enough as I got $1000 out of the deal and it won’t cost me next to anything. I did the same with my JT.

RE- Disabled:

Agree on all fronts. I have a friend who is a paraplegic and tremendously fit. Refuses to take up handicap spots etc. He says “those aren’t for people like me, I’m not handicapped.”
