Jeep isn't going to move away from the SFA, especially in the Rubicon and a few other trim packages, but I can definitely see them introducing IFS in certain Wrangler based models. If I had to guess, 75% of Jeep buyers would prefer IFS. @NC_Overland said it best:Currently the Jeep SFA is really the only off road advantage it has over other brands. If the SFA goes away, I would just look at other brands. Most likely a Tacoma. If I have to buy a IFS vehicle I might as well buy a proven IFS system.
I think Jeep knows that if they want to broaden their appeal and increase sales, then they need to be competitive with the other brands. I absolutely love my Jeep Gladiator, but I wouldn't want to daily drive it. I want something comfortable like Chevy/GMC Colorado/Canyon, but still maintain off-road capability. I think the Scrambler is going to that vehicle. The downside is that it will have a very high price tag since it will be designed/marketed for high-end buyers. It’s not so much the ride for me, it’s the steering and handling. My jeep rides great and handles fine, but my 2018 Colorado and my 2017 Canyon before it handle like sports cars in comparison. Night and day improvement. They handle better than a lot of cars.
