Had owned our 2022 JTR 3.6 for one day short of a year last week Thursday when check engine light came on and engine started running rough. Right at 20.5k miles. Got service appointment for this past Wednesday, dropped it off at 7:00 a.m., they had it back to us by 3:00 p.m. Thursday.
Has this root cause of this type of failure ever been determined with any certainty? By that I mean something like bad metallurgy in the camshaft, lifters or rocker arms? Poor design of the oiling system on that cylinder head?
Given that it has failed and been repaired once, is it fixed for good? Or is it something that has a higher likelihood of happening to us again and we should be prepared for that?
