Gday everyone!

I was wondering if anyone did a snorkel for the diesel yet. Thinking it might need to be on the other side.

I’d be keen to see some pics please.

Cheers!

I reached out to Rugged Ridge, and they told me they had no plans to create a snorkel system for the diesel JT. Bummer!

reached out to AEV, and they had no plans on making a snorkel for the diesel gladiator. I was told that the demand wasn’t there.

Promising for sure if I can get low to mid teens pulling my 3600# camper, I will be ecstatic! Haven’t taken it on a long enough trip to even get an idea yet.

I don't have a diesel, but came across a snorkel for my 3.6 this morning that I like the looks of, and saw that it is also available for the diesel. Here ya go:

Nice find!

Judging by where the intake tubes go into the cowl it looks as though it would be possible to make a franken-snorkel kit out of it by merging it with the cowl intake from the Rugged Ridge AmFib Snorkel System. Would be a bit of an expensive experiment though.

Agree, it would be expensive but I just can't with that HUMMER vertical pipe snorkel, it looks homemade as it is. I'm guessing/hoping RR will figure this out.

One of the pluses for a snorkel, aside from the water protection, is the cooler IAT....will travelling across the entire engine bay heat it up to the point of it losing that benefit?

I guess there would be something to that. The air would heat up, but I think not as much as you might think.

One of the main reasons we use snorkels in Aus (other than water fording) is to get the air intake up and above the dust when following other vehicles.

Another good use, thank you! And then IRT the hotter air, I guess it's moving pretty quickly so maybe not as hot as I would think.

I see you have a Hilux, that is a sweet ride. I drove one in AF, wish we could get one here!

agreed. To me, that thing is ugly.

I wonder if you could take a rugged ridge one and 3D print adaptors for the diesel side
