To make it better:

• Get rid of the holes and have it waterproof the bed so you can put things you don’t want to get wet under/in, and things that can get wet put over/on.

To make it even better:

• Give it legs so the rack is in line with the roofline. That way you can put bigger things in the bed, and lighter or longer things on rack up high.

If you make it water tight and put legs to bring it level with the roof wouldn’t that just be a camper shell

The ACE JT Gladiator Upper Decker is now WATERPROOF!

We've removed the holes from the bottom and sides of the basket and added seals around the entire perimeter to make this an extremely watertight cover. There are still factory holes in the front of the bed and the vertical factory tailgate gaps that could let in a bit of water - but we've tested this already in some pretty heavy downpours in Michigan without issue. There are cutouts in the corners of the basket to allow water to drain from the basket, but do not flow into the bed of the Gladiator.

It even stood up very well in a high-pressure car wash through multiple runs shown in the video above.

All of the other great features remain!

• Heavy-duty hinges for easy bed access
• Interior latches in rear to keep cargo safe and secure (can only be accessed when tailgate is open)
• Includes a pair of 75 lb. gas shocks
• Holds over 1,200 lbs. static weight

Once again, I am thoroughly impressed with the aftermarket on these vehicles. Especially the forum sponsors. This is absolutely something that's making me regret the factory tonneau cover I ordered. That will be getting scrapped soon. This cover with a Decked system will probably be in my future.
