All I really want to do is disable start/stop and recalibrate my speedometer. I added 35" tires and my speedometer is off 4 miles per hour

I watched a video where they disconnected a sensor under the hood on a JL, will that work on the JT?

i'm sorry I left out the module, It is a tazer lite programmer. Just can't see it being worth the 200$ for what I'll use it for.

Get Jscan to update the tire size. There are many options for ESS, besides the button on the dash. The easiest is one of the inline modules that connects under the dash.

I think there are cheaper ways to calibrate tires if that is all you want to do.

Do I have to have the programmer? Or is there a sensor under the hood for the start/stop sensor?

You can take the sensor out of the holder, under the hood, and that will keep the ESS from activating. It will prevent Remote Start from working. It may also turn on an error light.
