Running 35’s on stock 3.73 gears with no issues. 2” Mopar lift as well. Live in FL with obvious mostly flat terrain.

With an automatic it's not too bad. With a manual, it's miserable. Get used to staying in 6th/7th on the highway unless you're running downhill.

This has been covered on here many times. A lot of arguments on here on this topic. Everyone will always have their opinions but im on 35s and have no need to regear anytime soon. Only way I will is if I ever go 37s. Of course I took a slight hit on gas Mileage but that's to be expected but I don't tow either or live in an area with an abundance of hills or high elevation and it's fine.

You should be fine, it’ll drive a little different but you can learn to live with anything, even a bird in a cage will sing a song.

I ran with 35's on 3.73 gears for about a year before I swapped to 37's on 4.88 gears. It's doable, the area where I live is mostly flat, if you want elevation, you need to drive into the surrounding mountains.

My truck is the 3.6 gas with the 8 speed automatic, 8th gear was only available when the freeway was dead flat. I could still off-road when I wanted. While I firmly believe that re-gearing is the way to go, I can understand why you wouldn't want to, at least from a cost perspective.

But re-gearing was easily one of the best things I did for the truck, hands down.

I run 35's all summer, (I put my factory wheels on for the winter, lots of salt put down when it snows) I have no problems at all, I will even sometimes see 8th gear on the thruway when heading up state depending on how Im driving

Just finished regearing to 5.13 from 3.73 on 37” Micky Thompson. It ran fine with 3.73 would hit 7th on flat ground at 75 or 80mph. Now 8th at 45 if I’m not on it or wherever I want to run, running 2500 rpm at 75mph. If you don’t do a locker it’s more feasible. You’ll be fine with your combo, just won’t see 8th a lot.

I've been running 34s (285/70 18) with the stock 3.73s for a while now. I don't see a lot of 8th gear other than 70+ on level or downhill. Eventually, I'll probably do 4.10 or 4.56.
