Hey there,

I'm looking to lift my Sport S JT for mainly looks. I currently have a 1.5 Teraflex leveling kit - but am wanting to raise the overall JT around 2 inches with the probability of adding 35 inch tires in the future.

I'm going a little head crazy with all of the current offers for spacer lift kits and am not sure which one to choose.

It appears that AEV spacer kit is highly recommended, but I also read about the ReadyLift, Iron Rock, Teraflex 2.5, and Daystar. Is there something simpler with "building" my own lift with specific parts?

Is there a decent spacer lift that has many of the components to help fix geometry after lifting? I'm a little OCD, and I understand that lifting a Jeep will shift the axel and distort caster angle.

Thanks.

AEV and Geo brackets were what I used. Very happy with the installation process as well. Brackets will fix any caster issues as well. I am looking at / planning to purchase the Steer Smarts adjustable track bars but haven’t needed to in about 48k miles.

Another option you don't have listed is the Clayton 2.5" Ride Right. I think it's one of the best values in this lift height and price range.

You get front and rear adjustable track bars to center the axles. Adjustable upper arms to set caster. And adjustable sway bar links front and rear. Everything you need to lift for looks and drive good.

Thanks for that. Yes, that is one that I did know about - as I believe that's what you have for your JT. Based off of the limited research that I've read online, some folks have mentioned that it gave much more than 2 inches of lift especially at the front. Was yours similar? Thanks.

You're correct, I have the Clayton 2.5" Ride Right.

The Clayton 2.5" coils give more than 2.5" of lift on non-Rubicon models. I didn't measure on mine, but I'd guess it was about 3.5" in the front and 2.5" in the rear.

If it’s just for looks put some spacers on it and call it good. You can buy 2ā€ spacers all day for pretty cheap. When I leveled my front it was 2ā€ spacers, shock extensions, and sway bar links for like 99 bucks. Don’t overthink it, they’re just spacers. I had some 3/4ā€ daystar spacers for the rear but never installed them as I like the leveled look better.

You're going to get responses all across the spectrum.

If you're going with 2" and not more then you don't need geo brackets, they get talked about a ton on here and for good reason, when lifting you are altering geometry but at 2" and below adding geometry brackets is the equivalent of using a digital tire pressure gauge vs analog. Is there a difference? sure, but it's going to be minimal. Your control arms will still be almost level.

AEV's puck kit seems to be the best bang for the buck out there as it comes with the equipment plus the procal tool to change your tire size yourself.

If you want to spend the extra $$ and get the brackets then that's your prerogative but at the price point that you are in when you add that to the 2" spacer kit you might as well look at true suspension kits.

Would that also fall in line with a 2.5 lift, as it seems a lot of the 2" lifts are 2.5? (Teraflex, ReadyliftSST, etc)

I've been very happy with the 2" Mopar lift on my Sport S. Mine is also a DD and the ride is very close to stock, as close as it can be with 37's.
In all seriousness, it has been a great suspension upgrade for me. Took it on a long round-trip vacation from Nebraska to San Diego back in May. Zero issues. Tracks down the road straight and true. Maybe someone else can chime in here, but I swear I gained more than 2" with this lift.

Keep an eye out for early Black Friday sales!

37’s, 2 inch Mopar lift. Rides good, still flexes like a monster and you don’t need to spend $6,500 on a lift kit.

This was probably the best value before they doubled the price.
