The difference between the JT and JL rear suspension makes the JL ride much better. Has anyone ever fixed the JT rear bob . As I see it the JT is just a bad design.

I have a 2023 Mojave, the best Jeep I have ever been in for ride comfort and handling. (and I have driven or been a passenger in many Jeeps over the years).
I 100% agree with the above. I have owned Jeeps since the 70's. My new 2025 Mojave is very comfortable and outperforms their road handling in every way. IMO

"DITTO" on Mojave Best Ride. Own 2 Mojaves and had multiple Jeeps since Chrysler purchased AMC in 87.

Agree, we take my '20 JT on long trips as my wife says it rides better than her '21 JL Sahara... 114k and counting

My 2025 JT Mojave rides much better than my 2020 JT Rubicon, and I'd say either of them ride better than my 2011 Wrangler JKU. My 2025 also is a better ride than my wife's 2024 JL Sahara.

we have 2 JL"s JLU Rubicon extreme 35 and a 2 door sport, also a Gladiator sport. The Gladiator is a much better ride than either of the other 2 imho.

You can Bob the bed and frame if it is that important to you. You can buy or build a suspension for whatever you need it to do. Stock it has the better ride due to the wheelbase and tows better due to the rear suspension geometry and components. The wrangler 4 door rides better than the 2 door on road but is a compromise offroad in comparison although since they sell more 4 door the compromise is worth it to most, Sure the breakover can be a hinderance, with the overhang it drags the hitch, spare and bumper here and there on some trails and has a bigger turning radius but if you want the better ride, need to tow more, get more outside cargo space etc that is the compromise to get it if trails are the goal and nothing else go for the 2 door wrangler.

The JT is a truck….. with a higher towing capacity.
The JL is an SUV…….

Anytime you compare an SUV to a truck….you’re gonna get a smoother ride with an SUV.

Things change over the years…..and depending on the year, what model, and what options you have - will change the comparison.

When was the last time you drove a truck?

Just finished a Long arm upgrade on my JTRD. Ride is 100% improved. Why Jeep doesn't do this fromt eh factory is beyond me.

As others have said, you're comparing a TRUCK to an SUV, for road manners the longer wheelbase will be more planted every time when maintained. For off-road, the shorter wheelbase and departure angle is better, but will handle worse on road.

You also need to remember suspension components used, the SUV is lighter and not rated for towing/hauling as the TRUCK is, which means the truck will GENERALLY have a harsher ride.

People commenting about their Mojave being so much better also seem to forget this when they make this comparison, they have the SOFTEST OEM suspension available. Swap out stock shocks/spring on ANY OTHER JT for softer suspension and your comparison really isn't much different.
- That OEM FOX shock was also known for being so shitty in terms of durability that people were having to replace them in as little at 20k miles (regardless of who pays/aka warranty or not) vs every other model, which you simply don't hear have these issues. THAT, and the fact the FOX shocks had to be redesigned to combat this poor design to allow that softer ride.

If you want a better ride from ANY vehicle, change your suspension. But don't forget, softer rides equal less stability under heavy load and snap oversteer/excessive understeer are generally the result.
- Build it how you want it, or drive what you have and enjoy it for what it is.

Suspension geometry is the key to good ride quality. The JLU and JT suspension are rather stout for their design but the geometry is pure crap along with cheap materials. The JT is nothing more than a longer SUV in all reality with a bit more spring rate. Short arm suspension coupled to heavy springs and poorly valved shocks translate to a crap ride.

Going to the long arm suspension on my rig changed the angle of the control arms and allows for easier up travel on sharp bumps with the same spring rate/spring from the short arm system. Point is you can have a better ride and still not loose stability with the right design and components. The factory swaybar ( e disconnect version) is being replaced by an ORO swayloc dual rate version. I have had great success with this on other Jeeps improving both on and off road ride.

PS looking forward to the King Smoothies and replacing the Fox 2.0 piggybacks to round out the build.

Rattle Wagon is a Dual purpose rig like most, hauls a 16ft equipment trailer with a 3000# tractor, a Light weight off-road camper around 1000#, Trail rig to include rock crawling and my daily in and out of DC. With the latest changes she is comfortable to drive 1 finger to 90mph.
