Had 513s installed in my JTUR last week with 37" km3's. Still in break in, about 300 miles in. Driveability is much better, not as much hunting for gears, stays in 7th/8th on the interstate.
So I've noticed my mpg has dropped about 2 mpg from the 410s. Normally, wouldn't think a thing of it, and not concerned with mpg. However, when I had 513s put in my wifes JLUR on 37" Toyo, it picked up almost 4 mpg?!?
Odd imo. My only thoughts are the KM3 are actually about 1.25" shorter than the Toyo RT, and the 513 might be slightly too steep for that tire height (35")?!? Plans are to go with the 39" km3 soon tho, and they measure more like a 37".
Any thoughts or similar experiences?

I still got 4.10 gears on my max tow with 37's. We got 18.9 MPGs on the way to the beach Saturday and Back Saturday and I'm normally around 17.2 around town driving. I still stay in 7th to 8th gear as well. I'm not sure what kind of Mpgs your seeing.

Was seeing the same with 410s as you, 15-15.5 now in town. I'm in WV tho, so not overly flat in my area.

I'm in the piedmont, foothills area of North Carolina and it's not flat here either, rolling his. I could be gears are to tall, I've heard 4.88s are perfect for 37's, I've been pretty content with my 4.10s for now. I just kept the 37's on the lighter side, 72lbs a piece.

That's what I'm thinking as well. Should see better results when I go to the 39" km3.
Either way, I'm fine with it, just thought it was odd.

Any yes, tire size and ratio have been calibrated, speedo is post on per GPS.

Need to make sure you recalibrate everything. That being said. You should see a bump in mileage around town and when towing, but interstate driving might actually drop. Just depends your driving habits.

You must be on the flats and going under 60 mph. There is no way I see that mpg with 37’s and 4:10’s. I have 33’s and 4:10’s on my Max Tow and highway cruise at 70-75mph sees 18mpg Max. Any hills and I’m down to 16-17 mpg. Drive 80mph (cruise with TN traffic on interstate 40 and I am easily at 14 mph.

This calculated for tire change from 31-33”. And hand calculated not by the trip computer.

Do you have programming or something else? I guess could be my roof rack , but sits pretty low.

Will be on 37’s BFG AT KO’s (not much bigger than a 35 I think).
In a month or so with what lift??! I can’t decide.

In the spring will be ARB lockers and regear to 5:13 (because I tow with my truck and I will be making trips out west at elevation (no trailer).

This is around the time I put them on. I normally am between 70-75 mph on the interstate depends on if I'm on I-85 or I-485. I'm normally 5 to 10 over the posted speed limit in most situations

This on the way back from the beach. Unless we were
in town the wife was going 60-65, through the country roads. I haven't reset the computer since I put the 37's on in February and that was about 17,000 miles ago. Computer is set to the 37's as well, speedo is dead on by police radar and GPS apps and google maps.
