I have a 2023 Jeep Gladiator which the back window started leaking, I took it to the dealer and they kept it for several days to verify the leak. They verified it was leaking but I was told I am past the 12 month 12,000 mile warranty for a leaking window, I am still within the 36,000 mile 3 year warranty. Doing research on this problem I found that in most cases trying to remove the rear window to replace the molding is nearly impossible without breaking the window or damaging the window frame. I have never heard of a 12,000 mile 12 month window replacement until now and surmised this came about after they were stuck with a $500 + bill for replacing the window or even more cost of window frame replacement. I called around and found that if the window can be removed and molding replaced the cost was around $220. I do not have the extra cash at this time to replace the window so I searched the internet for some possible fixes. I saw placing a 7mm silicone hose in the gap worked for some but did not for mine. I needed a quick fix so I took Gorilla Waterproof Duct Tape and overlapped it over the top of the window and partially down the sides and it worked. The black tape blends in with the black roof I have so it is not that noticeable and the leaking has stopped. The tape has been through several car washes and it still there. When the weather gets warmer I hope to try Lexel Clear Synthetic Rubber All Purpose Caulk to try instead of the tape. Apparently this leaking has become a problem with the Gladiator since 2020 and you would think Jeep would address the problem.

Your dealer is wrong it is covered 3-36 and the window frame and glass come as one piece from the factory. There is a good chance of top damage since they will most likely break the old window getting it out. You can either try another dealer or contact Jeep Care for assistance if you want to go that route. I had mine replaced at 2 years and 25000 miles and they did damage my top luckily I have a non painted top and was able to just touch it up with Mopar top touch up paint. My window did start leaking again after about a year and 1/2 so I went the silicone hose route and it has been good for about 3 years now

I went silicone hose and it looks cleaner than tape, if you don't know you wouldn't see it. I car wash at least monthly haven't re leaked. highly recommended.

i had the same issue with my '20 Overland (Ordered 5/19, Delivered 7/19) in late '20.

The top had water in it from the leak, I didn't find any water inside the cabin from it. The dealership pulled the window and tried to get all the water out, and replaced the window. They did tell me they couldn't get all the water out.

So, I INSISTED they replace the roof because with the water still inside, it'd freeze in the coming winter months, expand, and possibly crack the roof, making the problem worse.

They replaced the whole roof. New roof, new glass, and all, under warranty.

Push the stealership on it and call BS on that 12M/12K mile glass thingy as I think that's what it is...BS, and they just don't wanna deal with it all. Other than that, go to another dealer and bring it to their attention and see what they'll do about it.

Per the Jeep warranty website for 2023 Jeep Gladiators, it’s covered under basic warranty 36 months or 36k miles (whichever comes first). That dealer is incorrect.

I would show them this image or just go to another dealer. I’ve never heard of this 12 month warranty situation.

The gentlemen above telling you that your window is covered under 3/36 are correct. My window started leaking at the 35th month and jeep covered it. Good luck.

Mine was fixed well after 12 months 12k miles. Time for you to search for a new dealer. If they don't want to work on it now, how good of a job do you think they will do when you tell them that they are wrong.

Kind of like telling the waitress your steak was over cooked and you want another. I say nay nay to floor spice.

Mine was leaking a lot. I used the silicone hose and it did not leak again. It looks like it came from the factory that way. It took only 15 to 20 minutes. I used a water/alcohol mixture to spray on it and slowly worked it in. I would add pics, but my Jeep got hit and the entire top was replaced this year.

Get @JeepCares involved in this. You might have to ride their asses but it can’t hurt.

Silicone tubing worked for me on the 2nd try. Initially pushed it all the way in so I thought it was in the right place but it did not work. Pulled it out and pushed it in but not all the way so it is slightly visible after you're done. Been dry for over a year now.

This is the perfect Amazon fix! When I went to my Jeep store the service manager had never heard of leaking back windows! With all the reports of damaged tops, it was clear they can’t fix it. Hose it and be happy!

I would find another dealer or call Jeep. Mine also leaked, and they replaced the rear window under warranty, and I was at 19,000 miles. The molding on the window can't be replaced. It's a piece of plastic attached to the window. The plastic cracks over time and causes the leak. It seems many have had success with the 7mm silicone hose. I plan to do that in the summer as a preventive measure. Even though they fixed my window, it was a hassle, and from what I'm reading about the issue, it's only a matter of time before it happens again.
