Went to grab my jacket I had stored in the little cubby behind the back seat under the window. It was all wet, I looked in the track where the sliding window slides and it was full of water. I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with this truck. I've had transmission problems, creeks and rattles, and the window is leaking. I don't even have 10,000 miles yet. Anybody else experiencing leaking back window? Will Jeep fix it under warranty?

Pretty common (at least when checking for problems online).

Dealer will fix it.

Mine leaked under 15K miles. I just stuffed some vacuum tubing into the back window so that I did not have to deal with it. Did it three years ago. Still doesn't leak.

Unfortunately this is a very common problem. Better than the warranty fix, but some black silicone tubing (7mm diameter I think) and stuff it in along the seam of the window. I’ve had mine in for more than a year with no leaks and no issues. There’s many other posts about it. I’m sure you can find them through the search.

Jeep will likely cover it at your mileage under warranty, I would think. I went the route of stuffing some 7mm vacuum tubing in the gap, instead of dealing with someone tearing into the window frame. There have been mixed results with warranty fixes.

The tubing fix eliminated my leak completely, and if done carefully actually looks like a factory installed piece. Took about 20-30 minutes to get it right, with a plastic trim tool and isopropyl alchohol as a lubricant.

Post up a picture; so far mine is not leaking 21Kmiles.

YUP , had the same problem, just some drops down the inside back window ,Although when i stop at a light in the rain sometimes drips on my shoulder!! I know it's a jeep but there sjould be some expectation of staying dry.

I had the leak back in 21 and I believe it was in 2022 I picked up the 7mm silicone vacuum tubing, a 1” long 1” pvc pipe as my guide press tool, sprayed window cavity out with water and alcohol, wiped it clean and dry, then soaked it down with same solution and slowly set the tubing in place with the tool I made with the pvc pipe. Don’t pull the hose along, set it straight in, keep it hydrated and run the tool along.

Now then,…the fallout of having this leak… the water drains down behind the back plastic panel where the subwoofer is AND there’s two very critical modules as well that can get wet. One module is the Alpine module that is directly behind the woofer and the second one is your DTCM (drivetrain control module). If this one gets wet, it’ll do things to your truck that’ll leave you stranded and you’ll swear off jeeps for the rest of your life. But hey! Have no fear because knowledge is power and now you have an action plan.

But let’s hope you can deal with the water (that got in and ran down the wall) on to the woofer and modules!

I accidentally found where the water was sitting on my stuff when I took the panel off to inspect my DTCM. Taking the panel off is a B!$ch if you don’t understand what’s got it pined in there and I went all HULK on mine and broke it in a few places but it can be UPGRADED later and it’s all sitting back on the wall, no problem. If I was to do it again, I now know how not the break the top of the panel.

Let the techs take the panel off to inspect for water damage or threat to connectors.
