while I have seen this scare tactic on news feeds I amnot sure that most thieves are that prepared...Nope, not worth the hassle.
Especially since most of the time when people want to steal your gas they just drill a hole in the tank.
I don't think its a real problem no matter how you slice it.while I have seen this scare tactic on news feeds I amnot sure that most thieves are that prepared...
This is why I put one on, almost three years ago, when I bought the truck. Gas theft was never a concern.I did a few weeks ago. I was not concerned with gas theft but curiosity or vandalism. If someone wants the gas, a locked cap will not stop them.
What brand do you have?Had mine on for a while now. Initially was awkward turning the cap while holding the key but now its nothing. Donāt consider it a āhassleā as I donāt use the key for much else.
Cost of a Mopar locking gas cap for me: $11.00I don't think its a real problem no matter how you slice it.
Spend $50 on a locking gas cap to stop someone from stealing $50 worth of gas.
Not worth it when there is a 1 in 1000 chance of this happening.
