I was just looking at my manual and saw that it says about locking just the rear in 4 HI. Has anyone tried this yet? I understand it might only be for the MOJAVE only but the RUBICON has the REAR ONLY button too so I'm wondering if it will work.

Don’t work in Mojave, wish it did though.

Get a Tazer mini. Rear locker in 2Hi, use it all the time, and front & rear in 4Hi. Also swaybar disconnect in 2Hi.

There is some convoluted recipe to do the rear locker in 4Hi for the '21 Mojave, it's been discussed on the forum.

Curious as to your use case for a rear locker in 2Hi?

Tooling around dirt roads with only the occasional serious obstacle, that's where the swaybar disconnect comes in handy. Also good in snow, why run 4Hi until you must?

Good reminder how far you can get in a 2WD with a limited slip or a locker, too - more fun, more challenge, and no penalty for being too brave.

Power to you.
Even then that might be some overkill. The rubi’s rear is already an LSD from my understanding.

The rubicon rear is either an open differential or locked. You can’t have a locker and a LSD.

Correct, BLD is what I’m thinking of. Jeep’s traction control and little to no risk of breaking an axle.
