Just finished up the painless install

Great mix of form and function

Took around 4 weeks from ordering to delivery

Install took around 1.5 hours

I slid the Rails as far forward as possible to act as a quasi- mud flap

Only technical* aspect was using a grinder cut off wheel to remove the unneeded forward passenger frame jig bracket and touching up the frame paint with a rustoleum rattle can.

All frame mount locations had either oem bolts, welded in nuts or used the LOD flag* nuts included populated into oem holes in the frame.

LOD makes excellent stuff. I had both bumpers and steps on a JKU. The rear bumper took two moderate hits from idiot drivers with only a scratch. I went RSE powersteps on the Gladiator but will be adding at least the rear LOD bumper soon. Looks great!

Thanks for these pics. These are on my Black Friday list. Have the ironman 4x sliders that are ok, but want something stronger also with the step. Had the LOD rear bumper on my JK as well - strongest part on the jeep!

Good so far, I did need a shot of touch up at a weld.
Good to hear. I'm deciding on the Destroyer or the Armor-Lite sliders. I hate rust LOL but like the look of the Destroyer series better and I don't want to regret getting aluminum the moment I land on them or have to pivot around something.

I saw a video of Armor-Lite on Rubicon Trail and they didn't fare well.

Looks good. I’ve got a set of factory Mopar tubular steps on a stock sport and I find that the step is a little too high and makes getting in an out awkward to the point that I don’t really use the steps. Also, I find that when I do use them I frequently kick the paint on the door sill because the step is close to the body.
These look like the step would be a little lower but maybe still not low enough. Wonder how they are to use.

Wife is 5'3" and loves them.
I am 6'1" and they work fine for me whether I step up and drop in or I just bump up and slide in.

Seems like they will save some seat wear and tear over the stock rails.

I shimmed mine out another quarter inch with solid metal stock that I made to look just like there 1/16” shims giving me around 3/4” gap. They have been through some abuse and no body damage.
