Look at the prices for dealer oil change

I got 2 free oil changes when I bought my Gladiator went in for one took like 2 hrs. I'll just do mine myself hate that wait for something as easy as an oil change free or not!!

That is just dealership life sometimes. Unless you ran it through a dealership "Express Lube" lane if they had one, sometimes it can take a bit for a tech to get on task, especially if they have a pay job ahead of you that takes them extra time to get off task off. Not every dealership has dedicated lube techs and sometimes you are waiting on a senior tech to fit you into their schedule, not yours.

Doing it yourself as you have surmised is the better bet of time management and knowing the quality of the work that is done.

My dealer has an Express Lane for oil changes. I took it in last Monday for my remaining Wave oil change and tire rotation. I was there about an hour.
