I've never removed my Tazer for dealer service, and we just had our sixth one.I took it to the local auto shop that’s only 1/2 mile from the house. They charged $140 including fully synthetic and a tire rotation & I didn’t have to remove my Tazer.
I don’t like to leave the Tazer hooked up with dealer visits. I often ask them to ‘update’ anything that needs updated since my last visit. From what I understand, you shouldn’t have the Tazer installed for dealer updates. I don’t want to take any chances. I’d rather remove it, update the Tazer via the computer and have a ’fresh start’ when I install it again.I've never removed my Tazer for dealer service, and we just had our sixth one.
I'm absolutely certain my wife has no idea the thing even exists.
Here are the directions for changing your own oil:No offense… You folks need to learn to change your own oil. About $55 for Penzoil synth-oil (what the dealer uses) and the mopar filter at Autozone when on sale. Then free disposal of oil at most Autozones and many auto parts stores. You just need to make a onetime purchase for the oil catch basin from Walmart and use it over and over to carry the used oil. And maybe a one time purchase for some sockets. Stop overpaying the dealer for something you can do yourself. Throwing away $150 an oil change at the stealership is crazy.

Also - discover Rock Auto. The filter prices I am seeing here make no sense. The MOPAR Oil filter at Rock Auto, part #68191349AA, is $5.70. The FRAM Ultra Synthetic is $9.97.
