I'm currently running the Firestone Destination M/T2 tires on my 22 Willys. They are great in the snow/mud, but ride rough on the road. I'm looking for new tire recommendations for daily driving but also good in snow and mud.. stock height no lift,, very mild off reading. Was thinking of same tires that come on a Rubicon? Any suggestions would be great. Thabks

I went with Patagonia XT's as well. So far, I really like them. I second that they are great in snow.

I have been beyond impressed with my General Grabber ATX’s. At 25,000 miles they should last at least another 25,000 in them and offer great performance on an off road + in wet, are snow rated and aren’t as noisy as many MT’s.

I put 255-80-17E Falken AT3W on my Mojave after 5000 miles with the stock, 10 lb heavier, 2" wider stock tires (285-70-17). They are better on highway, rain, snow for me.

falkens came on this rubicon and i am so impressed with them. ive got 36,000 on them so far and been through three winters in the PNW. we don't get terrible winters here but the snow that comes is especially difficult. its different than other places ive been. I'm an old guy and ive been around and tried lots of tires too! :)
anyways, I'm going to put Falken AW4w's back on again but in the larger 37x12.5R17LT.
item number 28847341
load id E
plys 10
HD Duraspec and they weigh in at 78.3 lbs
Falken claims 13.1" x 37" size.

i don't think i need the E rating but that's what their 37" comes in. i am sure i will get used to it. their new at4 tires are now coming with 65k warranty, allegedly but i think that has something to do with the size.

For what you're replacing the stock Mojave/Rubicon Falken Wildpeaks 285/70r17 would be a step up in size but honestly, you're not going to get a better deal $$ than someone's take-offs....
I've had mine coming up on 40K also and they perform well.

I was driving on the stock 245-75-R17 factory tires until I wore the tread out, those behaved very well. I moved up to the 33 inch tires that are stock on the Rubicon, 285-70-R17, and I chose the Falken Wildpeak tires. I've been more than surprised and very impressed with the way they handle, it doesn't matter if it's in 110 degree weather, or driving rain, or snow, these are great tires that hold the road.

If you can find a set of take off Falken Wildpeak AT3s that is what I'd do. Mine did great and looked almost new at 20k when I swapped out to 35" tires

I run BFG K02s and love them. They are all-terrain tires and are smooth on the road. Note that my Gladiator is my daily driver and it's typical that I drive 250+ miles more often than not each day. The original tires were KM2s.

Cooper AT3 XLT. Its a mild AT that will handle light off roading no problem but they are light, super long wearing, quiet, and really smooth.

If you want something more AT oriented the Grabber ATX's were fantastic and also long wearing (50K miles or so) quiet and smooth as well. Just not quite as smooth as the Coopers but thats to be expected since the coopers are on the mild end of AT versus the Grabbers..
