I wouldn't do the KM3s if you're doing 20-25k/yr and a ton of highway driving. My two cents is to do a good all terrain tire. You'll get better longevity, way less road noise, and they're perfectly capable off road.bump this back up.
anyone have any more input on the KM3's? unfortunately about 98% of all my miles are hwy / interstate and I drive about 20-25k miles a year. so I need something very livable, do make some 5 + hour road trips. I'm looking at the C range, trying to keep weight down as much as possible.
currently running 315 KO2's and I'm happy with them so far, only grip is holding onto gravel.
should I put Pat's on the list, like the price and weight.
I know what you mean on the KO2 holding on to gravel. Its that peanut design where the pattern is small enough to where little pebbles get lodged in the grip. They're good tires though. Maybe try looking at a slightly more aggressive AT? or something not that aggressive, but not with a peanut design like the Cooper AT3 XLT. They're super light as well.
