Are we thinking 24 will have a price decrease? Is that the rumor?
I highly doubt it. The 24’s have the refresh of mechanical/tech. BUT, once more 24’s are readily available, I can see the 23’s on the lots getting an even bigger discount than they are already at.

I’m 6’3”. Not enough headroom in mine. Put in the Seat Slammers and it’s like a whole different vehicle. Plenty of headroom now. Best mod you can do if you’re tall.

First post here, just joined and this Forum has provided a ton of information as I considered a Gladiator since 2021... yeah took that long... because pricing was stupid and getting worse.

Your wish list is very similar to mine although for different reasons. I wanted the absolute max towing capacity (7650 lbs) to tow my +/- 5000 lb RV previously towed with a Nissan Armada V8 that didn't know if was back there. Yes, overkill to some but I like to keep a 20-30% safety margin having towed large trailers up to 16k lbs for many years. I finally pulled the trigger on a leftover 2023 Freedom Edition in mid-November. I will likely post a full thread on that purchase soon but as it relates to your wish list I wanted the following also:

4.10 gear - max tow Freedom has it
Cloth seats - Freedom has it on seating surface and nice leather side/headrest touch as well
Hard top (and soft top for beach season) - Mostly all Freedoms, will purchase soft top later
Climate control - Tech group has it, on most Freedoms
Heated seats - Cold weather group has it, on many Freedoms I found as well
LED lights - All Freedoms have all front LEDS including headlamps, I installed Oracle on rear

Other things I wanted included a winch capable bumper (all Freedoms have front/rear steel) and remote start (convenience group). I also had to have Sport S features and all the other cool Freedom Package (24F) items were a bonus. Of course, I'm missing the off-road suspension capabilities of the Rubicon and Mojave however I wasn't willing to sacrifice the tow rating / GCWR. My off-road adventures are pretty much beach and well-traveled trails with my RV in tow. I have no plans to rock crawl or run high-speed off-road.

So from September - November this year I watched Gladiator values tank. Reasons aside, I couldn't get beyond the "Jeep that can tow my RV" idea and kids saying "Dad, we want a Jeep on the beach." I spent a few nights locating over 40 leftover '23 Gladiator Sport Max Tow and Freedom Max Tow models on lots across the US. I watched some pricing get below used with the 10% (now 15% off) deal and approach trade-in. Considering only a few thousand dollar difference in advertised pricing for comparable Sport S and Freedom models, I decide to only focus on Freedom due to the many options included with 24F package, mostly LED lighting, cloth/leather combo and steel bumpers.

In mid-November I identified 9 Freedoms within a 14 HR drive built to a livable spec for me and contacted dealerships. They quickly got quiet on the phone when I told them "you will be sending this to auction soon, you will get below trade-in.... here is my offer." I dealt in percentages off MSRP to keep all comparisons fair and my number was 30% off MSRP. So, a $55k MSRP was a $38,500 offer. All but one was MSRP $55k - $60k range. All dealerships told me no, some said not even close. I said OK, here is my name/number, call me back when you decide you don't want to send to auction. I've waited 2 years, what's another few months. About 2 hours later, my phone rang. One dealer said how much again? I said 30% and they said deal. Again, this was mid-November not even last day or month, etc. I just had time to do it at that time so gave it a shot.

Keeping a long story short (this is the short version I swear), I paid them a few hundred to deliver over 8 hours away. They were awesome, salesman was even better. They offered me a 2.35% discount (meeting my credit union) on APR if I would purchase Mopar's 7 yr/100k coverage and after running numbers against my payoff plan I agreed and landed a nice rate. (NOTE: Make sure you ask for MOPAR's coverage. Some dealership agreements with aftermarket companies won't allow them to mention as an option unless customer asks. I found MOPAR to be $1k cheaper than "other" brand) This is another trick you can use if you plan to finance... you will likely have to at least make a gentleman's agreement to make "X" number of payments for them to agree to a large discount. They have to get some money from somewhere. Keep that agreement, it's good for all of us.

To summarize... check-out the Freedom. Now is a great time to buy a '23 leftover IMO and I wouldn't hesitate on one you are able to check out yourself or have a trusted 3rd party do it. You may have to travel but you are talking big discounts right now. I threw caution to the wind, had salesman do a video and said "hey, it's new what the worse...." So far, so good!

Yes, they are overpriced compared to 2020 release. Yes, Jeep took advantage of a market then that no longer exists (so did all manufacturers). Yes, they are not the most popular "truck." However, I am 1 and 1/2 months removed from my deal. MSRP discounts of 35 or maybe even 40% are not impossible before an auction decision. You don't know unless you offer!

Just for fun I keep an eye on all the Freedoms I found via browser bookmarks. As of last night, 24 remain listed on dealer sites as available across the US. I truly believe they are the happy medium perfect blend of price and features for most people. Albeit apparently not as cool as the Mojave, I get it! Good Luck in your search!

* Out of respect for the dealership not getting in hot water with other customers, I will withhold their info unless they ID themselves. Besides, unfortunately I bought their last Freedom.

Good to hear it seems to be more of a buyers market right now. We bought my wife's Expedition during covid and the lots were empty. They didn't want to deal much at all.

Post the link for your Freedom if you start a thread. I would look at anything with the max tow first. Looks like most have decent packages. The Mojave looks like a good combo, but doesn't look like anything I want will be too hard to find in similarly priced JT's.

Only one on my list, in Clearwater. Being new to the Forum I'm going to attempt to attach a screenshot of my "Freedom List" from my bookmarks. I updated this morning and down to 21 remaining, so should be fairly accurate. There were a few that dropped off in last 48 HRS as expected at end of month. They are dealing!

In the list you will see vehicle color, MSRP, lowest price I've seen advertised on website and city/state. Most of the lowest prices were seen at end of month. The website prices will likely go up next week and start to trickle down throughout the month. Just google Jeep dealer in that city/state and check new inventory, should see the bookmarked Freedom if they still have it. All 24F models on my list are max tow. I didn't consider any without that package.

I had a list most 24S models with max tow left in US as well. Once I decided the 24F was a much better deal for the money, I deleted that list. I will say there were more max tow 24S models than max tow 24F so they may be a little easier to find.

The trick I used for those not familiar is look at the VIN when scrolling the Jeep inventory site. If the fourth position letter is a "H" it is NOT a max tow (3.73 gears). If the fourth position letter is a "J" and it is not a Rubicon or Mojave it IS a max tow (4.10 gears). Rubicon and Mojave will always have a "J" for their 4.10 gears.

Examples:
VIN: 1C6HJ..... (3.73 gear)
VIN: 1C6JJ...... (Max Tow Sport/Sport S/Freedom or Rubicon or Mojave)

Hope this helps someone land a deal! Let me know if it does!

NOTE: After "consultation" with my wife, I only considered Silver, Black, Granite, White and Sting-Gray. There are probably a few Blue, Red, High-Velocity and Sarge Green Freedoms out there not on this list.

They have a nice bunch on the lot. 4 diesels. Almost what I paid for my 21. Yeah I know it's a ways for you. But the drive isn't to bad. Actually bought mine there. Don't forget to look into the tread lightly 1% off. Not sure if they are still offering it. But it doesn't hurt.
Also there used to be a build thread where you could build your vechicle and it would show you percentages off

Hopefully they work the current 15% off into the usual price. I have no info to support that will happen though.

All I know is if it goes up much, it might put these out of affordable range for me. They're already similarly priced to F150 and 1500 trucks which have better towing capacity and similar gas mileage.

I was considering a Tacoma, but the reviews are pretty awful on those with the shitty trans. I'm 6' tall and they're not very roomy either.
I few days late but when I was looking in October, one of the dealers said that the 2024's would likely be slightly more expensive than the 2023's. He could not tell me if there would be any type of discount because of all of the 2023's still in stock. Unlike you, I was ready to purchase. Did some shopping/negotiating with multiple dealerships and ended up buying from a dealer 5 hours away. I found a few dealerships that had what I wanted so I went back and forth until I got the deal I was willing to accept. Ended up with a Mojave and got over 18% off of MSRP. I understand your thoughts on the Tacoma because that's what I got rid of. I had it for almost 6 years and that was enough. The transmission was not stellar but did improve after the dealership re-flashed it with an update but it still liked to hunt gears. It also was not comfortable on long trips. Just got back from a 10 hour round trip drive to see family and my Mojave was very comfortable the entire time. I know you're not ready to purchase but I am not sure how long these deep discounts will continue. For your sake I hope they do until you're ready to purchase. Best of luck.

Oh I'M READY! My wife is not haha. Something stupid about 'saving up a down payment'. What's that noise?? :CWL:

Though I guess that's why she's the responsible one and I'm the one that wants a third Jeep at the house.

I could tell her they're 50% off right now and she would just roll her eyes. In the meantime, I'm just going to have to live vicariously through all of you posting pics. It's going to be a long few months.

It could be true he wanted me to buy but he didn't have what I wanted and said if I ordered I would only get the deal being offered when the truck actually arrived so I moved on.

I understand the wifey being like that as mine can be that way at times. We only need 2 means of transportation so trading one for the other was not a big deal. Glad she didn't want me to get rid of the Harley to help pay for the new Gladiator. That may have been a deal breaker...lol. I'm sure things will work out for you, I've heard patience is a virtue but I've never had much myself.
