What Engineer at Grimm thought since their 6-year-old could fit their fingers in there it was ready for consumers?

joking aside, I only lost one nut but luckily had some spares. somewhere in my frame is a nut rolling around for the ride.

Have you tried disconnecting the security gateway module behind the OBD port? lol

Yes but that was never designed nor engineered to be a consumer-accessed area.

Yea, it's adorable how they thought they could engineer a way to get people to stop effing with their vehicles...

Wasn't to engineer a way to stop messing with it, it was just engineered without making it simple because user access wasn't a priority or necessity.
They didn't do that to make it harder, they simple didn't make it easier as there is no reason to make it easier. Most Jeep owners will never access that area.

Would we not be jeep mechanics if we did not lose at least 10 nuts into the frame?

Drops nut.
Expects it to fall thru
Nothing.

Guess I should have taken pictures of my hands after the under passenger seat arb install when I had to drill through the passenger firewall and decided to leave all the trim there and just move it to the sides of my work. I literally shredded both of them. I even went as far as tucking the insulation out of the way to not foul the drill.

A big HAH to you guys with the upper trim levels!
On the Sport & Sport S trims without all the geegaws, reaching the SG is straightforward.
Don't even need the extensions!

:)

it had dropped 3 or 4 times before, I was getting used to where about it would fall every time. then the fifth time... some mystery worm hole was called into existence the exact moment it fell and poof... gone just like that.
