Nice!! Be careful with that thing….. Things can go bad in a heartbeat.

We used to own a 2001…. I remember threading the needle making a left turn (booted it, because I could😈). Even with all the ‘nannies’ - the ass-end came out on me pretty hard. Scared the piss out of me…..

Thank you. This is my 4th vette. Had a 59 (when I was 18), a 72 and also a 2011 just like this one that I bought new.
they can get away from you pretty quickly. No accidents yet and hope to keep that streak alive

Absolutely badass car!

You should have done what I did. Keep the Gladiator AND the Vette!

I've got a pristine '07 Vette with the LS2 and 6 speed manual.

I'd tell you to enjoy the ride, but I know you are already there! The Vette puts a smile on my face every time I strap into it and light up that beautiful small block Chevy!

Congrats!

I've not driven a C5, but I can say that in my experience, the C6 is VERY controllable once that rear end breaks loose. On the full-on setting the stability/traction control still lets it come out a little, but pretty much saves it and does so early enough that it would save even a novice driver from planting it in the fence.

Lol, yeah, I thought he swapped an LS3 INTO his Gladiator!

I'll bet there's an outfit out there somewhere that does that very swap. I think there was a company in Texas that specialized in LS swaps in JK's. I wonder if they are still out there doing JL's and JT's?

😆 The vette (2001) was a ‘3rd’ vehicle……. We sold it and bought a Bass boat.😂

Lol! Get a good radar detector! I run a Uniden R4 and Waze. Pretty good Electronic Warfare package for avoiding SAMs. Lol.
No sense in having a radar detector in Pennsylvania….. the local police are prohibited from using speed sensing radar. Only the state police are allowed to use it. You rarely see a statie in our area.

We use Waze… but that’s not helpful when you’re cruising around the local back roads (w/ no traffic).
