It was all an illusion!

Ugh, Dodge wtf.

If they were more honest, the S650 Mustang would have been much better to compete in the class, lmfao

Sounds like more Durango Hellcat like teasing. "Better order it ASAP, one model year!" Then a lawsuit filed over second year of production. Weird times

It Looks Like The Next Gen Dodge Charger Will Get A Gas Engine After All

“They’re keeping gasoline engines. The official designation for the vehicle platform is LB and it will have the new GME-T6 Hurricane inline-six in RWD and AWD,” the source said. “It will be using the Stellantis Gen 4 transmission that’s also rolling out to Mack Assembly, Jefferson North Assembly, and Toledo North.”

As someone with a suitcase muffler delete... there is nothing throaty about this engine. I've adjusted to how my JT sounds, but there's no doubt it's a V6. That one video where a dude compared an unmuffled/unresonated pentastar to a GTR exhaust note wasn't wrong at all, it's just I don't consider that a compliment for a pickup.

My guess is we get a hurricane option on the wrangler in about 3-4 years. I have nothing tangible to base that guess on, other than that it seems the gladiator just got a mid generation refresh so I assume it has 3-4 years left. The release of a new generation of wrangler (and Gladiator if sales are high enough) would be a good time to add a hurricane option.

May want to look at Toyota regarding V8's not being dead. Well maybe petrol but not hydrogen.

IF they can shoe-horn the new I6 in the current platform, they might be able to implement it in a couple years. Otherwise, the new powerplant will have to wait until next-gen JT. (Assuming there will be one ?)

This, next gen JL/JT will get the new engine, current gen will soldier on with current power plants, including the 4xe versions is my take as well.
