Phlegmon, would you mind sharing the particulars about your ride, and if I am really begging. A datalog
Thanks for the new map! You are a HUGE asset and resource to this community! I'm about 10 miles into ECU learning on the new map and it feels smooth as glass and a bit more torquey than your prior. I assume you're only interested in the VE mods? 2020 Rubicon w/ stock Rubi gearing, 35's, Banks (HUGE) CAI (modified to work with the Magnuson), step colder iridium plugs (gapped appropriately), RIPP high performance coil packs, Borla cat back, and, of course, the Magnuson supercharger kit. A bunch of other non-engine related mods, if those are important to you.

I'd be happy to get some logs for you. Just let me know what parameters you want me to log and under what conditions (WOT, cruise, city, mixed, etc.).

Damn your truck sounds killer! I looked at that Banks kit. A friend in the industry told me about it. Supposedly has a fair bit of development in it. Like wind tunnel testing and all.

After hearing your mods the car guy in me is just generally interested, but yeah your mod list is what I was after, thanks. What I am hunting down at the moment, is not all Jeeps react the same to a single tune. I thought maybe it was rubi vs sport related, but you just threw that theory for a spin. In some Jeeps it throws the throttle air flow model into a tizzy. I have been working on the limited closed loop parameters I have to tune to make it more tolerant across the board. As you accurately described I am filling out the torque map, to be more like stock but with the extra power. My guess is whoever did the first development deflated the torque map as it is hard to get a reliable smooth pedal with it loaded. I used to think they were sVing the transmission, but as I fill out the map, my opinion is the transmission works better and sees less drastic and dynamic speed jumps. I am really stoked your modded Rubi, likes it. I will send over my channel list later today. No big rush or nothing. I just have tons of data from trucks that need "touch ups" never any data from satisfied users lol. Thought it would be cool to see it doing what it was designed to do. Man if you think ot is smooth now just wait. It almost feels like it. Slowed down, but I timed it, it has not. If your really astute you can feel some of the Torque regulation I have done during WOT tip in to keep from super boosting the engine. I have a tune with out it that will light the tires but you get way into the teens on boost. It is a bit scary lol. Thanks again for your feedback.

Phlegmon, I thinkn if you open up my latest datalog. You can just save the layouts and then use those to take data. I am probably going to release the file behind this datalog soon. It does not have the miles but it drives cleaner and smoother than anything so far. I am contemplating trying it with the RAM shift schedule again.

Dave is the unofficial, as of yet, the Magnuson Ambassador extraordinaire! I’m the fella with the manual JT Dave mentioned earlier. I’ve been off the Forum for a month with many other distractions but am back to help anyone with a manual who wishes to improve the JT with a Mag SC. I’ll say the Mag Tech has worked diligently since my installation 4+ months ago to improve the tune but the tunes really started improving when Dave offered to share his work with the Tech. This resulted in the Mag Tech going back to the lab with a JT and investing a couple weeks of going through the entire SC package to find improvements. The latest tunes incorporate Dave’s fine tuning and the Mag Tech’s improvements. I’m now at the point where I have some oscillation at constant throttle highway speeds but the throttle dip in and drive ability is what I wanted and the power increase is throughout the RPM range is excellent. I’m confident with this much attention on improving the product the oscillation will be tuned out so the drive ability will be improved over stock with the benefit of another 120hp+...:)

I know I dont feel obligated, but I do appreciate it. Youve put a lot of effort into this, taught people along the way, and are getting this set up dialed to perfection through evolution.

I think I speak for a bunch of us when I say we appreciate you allowing us to benefit from your willingness to share this extensive expertise. Its fun work, but its still work. Let those who want to pitch in send you and the fam to a steak dinner!
how do you PM through this forum?

When I clicked on this thread I was ready to buy! Not so much now ?
I have the oscilation fixed and shared the fix with Magnuson.
Thanks Dave! Mark contacted me yesterday and told me you guys put a bunch more work into the tune and to expect an update file next week. I also figured out the HP Tune license issue. The beta software version I had was not functioning so Erik in help sent me the correct version. Now if only HP Tuners would publish an App for an iPhone/iPad

Well let me know if you need help and wanna load something really nice LOL! I spent some time on my Ram trans tune today. Iam absolutely stoked. I need to talk to my friends at Chrysler though. I can now drive in 8th at 1500 rpm. Little concerned what that means for the engine and trans. The data looks good. Man it is smooth as melted butter around town. Pulling away from a corner in 4th with the SC slightly howling to make that V8 torque down low. It sounds Awesome. My youngest said my jeep sounds like it is calling ghosts, lol!

Imagine how good that will be on a 1320....hehehehe kidding(ish). I think we’ll find the 1320 is fantastic to about 500hp where it runs out of steam.

Good work, dude. Love what youre doing.

Edit: whats your thoughts on water/meth through a TVS? I hear it both ways

I love meth, water cooling on roots blowers. Absolute blast. Just make sure to have good air cleaner and dont get nuts with it. I have pushed some factory blower cars to 1100 hp thos way with no noticeable difference in daily driving.

Cuz i’m thinking a nozzle in the SC snout with a couple of liters of the scoot tucked in the boot might just make for a proper good time.......

Actually. Funny story. I was working with some of the boys from Hereford a little while back and thats where that phase came from. When they do their domestic rotations, they take audi rs-somethingoranothers and upfit the shit out of them so they could rip around the country on terrorism calls. He said “ya we run the juice with a few liters of the scoot tucked in the boot” ??

That phrase with a thick british accent put me right into a tail spin.
