Dave is the tune you sent me?
I would not let that tune out in the public unless I was for sure it would not significantly impact the longevity of the powertrain. The one I have sent you is pretty peppy compare to Magnusons, but not tire lighting peppy?

Does Magnuson honor the warranty if you self install?

Short answer, no.
Uhg. So it has to be an ASE cert mechanic?

I realize ill do stuff later down the road that will make that null, but id like it to be covered for a few thousand miles just incase something in the motor was borderline and goes after install. Need to think on this. I might be making a big deal about nothing.

They will cover parts, if you register after install.

FYI, I installed Magnuson's "latest" updated map, sent from them. I drove around on it for a couple hundred miles then promptly returned to Dave's map. It's SO much smoother throughout, the shift logic is better, and it's, overall, how I expected the Jeep to perform after installing the supercharger. It behaves BETTER than factory, just with a lot more power throughout the rpm band. My $0.02 is that Dave's spent COUNTLESS hours tuning, driving, retuning, dynoing, etc. compared to either Petty or Magnuson, which is why it's such a nailed down tune. Try it! It makes my supercharged Gladiator happy! YMMV...

I can't say enough about how happy I am with your tune, Dave! Nor can I thank you enough! I'll be sure to watch this thread for any revisions you care to release.

So, what's the cost of the supercharger + install going for in 2021?

Well thanks Phlegmon since you asked nicely, give this a try. It has about 1500 miles on it. The improvements were inspired by another member on here with a manual Gladiator. Not sure if he wants called out or not so I will play it safe. This tune will need about 50 miles put on it for the throttle to learn and become optimally smooth. There is a tune coming after this one that works on balancing the torque in the lower shift points and moving them a bit so you don't notice the shifts as much cruising slowly. It will also hold 7th and 8th better. I am working out the surging I get in the torque model when I introduce the torque earlier. For now this is my new favorite tune hope it treats you all well

Appreciate the gratitude, no one needs to feel obligated, I do it for the hobby. Nothing I like more than opening a new thread and finding awesome stuff I can do to my Gladiator. If I can be a part of that for others, that makes my day. I did this as a job once and it shook me up. I love vehicles period, I would come home at night and not want to see or touch a car. My projects went to the way side. That is when I changed it up, and decided I needed my hobby more than the job. Tractors can be sort of cool lol!

I know I dont feel obligated, but I do appreciate it. Youve put a lot of effort into this, taught people along the way, and are getting this set up dialed to perfection through evolution.

I think I speak for a bunch of us when I say we appreciate you allowing us to benefit from your willingness to share this extensive expertise. Its fun work, but its still work. Let those who want to pitch in send you and the fam to a steak dinner!

What install notes can folks pass along?

-temp sensor relocate near headlight?
-some different location for water pump?
-anything else?
