I ordered a Rock Hard aluminum bumper from Quadratec 5 weeks ago. It ships directly from the manufacturer. I was told they are 5-6 weeks behind.
You got a better time quote than I did today...they told me 8 weeks on bumpers for the JT this afternoon...

Order from Amazon or a reputable seller on eBay, generally both provide accurate delivery dates, and there is recourse for they are not accurate.
I’ve been ordering a lot from Amazon for this very reason...

I hear u I’m still waiting on my quadratec tube doors was suppose to ship April 22nd and still nothing
Same here. I ordered stuff from Quadratec on April 2, which indicated in stock. Come to find out that it’s back ordered and should ship LESS THAN 30 days. Still waiting.
They are a forum sponsor, have you reached out to @Quadratec ?

Which only makes them bigger, but it's sometimes easier.

I can advise you that if something is not deemed essential it will not sniff anything resembling urgent or normal shipping. Working for one of the largest logistics companies in the world everything is backed up and will remain so likely through the year. Every major port around the world has massive congestion. On the West Coast, loaded containers are likely to sit for 2-3 or more months before even moving to a location to be offloaded. It's a 3-4 month wait to get space on vessels to ship stuff from many locations and don't even talk about Asian lanes. The steamship lines are making a fortune and so is everyone down the line and they are in no rush to get things back to normal. Shipping container prices have quadrupled in the last few months. A flat rack to or from Asia used to cost around $3,000 since the beginning of the year the prices have climbed steadily to where they are costing around $21,000 now and that is if you can get one and find space for it. Breakbulk vessels are filling so fast and they can ask any price they want. Trucking prices have skyrocketed. We are paying triple for a load now compared to the end of last year/beginning of this year. Guess what all that means ?? Trickle down. All of those costs will be passed down to us and your still going to have to wait for your stuff.
And trucking companies can't get drivers. Hell of a career opportunity for a lot of folks, if they want to work.

Bunch of Falcon shocks for the JT on eBay from reputable sellers with delivery dates next week.
I would bet a cold beer that 99.9% of those Ebay sellers for Falcon Shocks are just drop shipping them from Teraflex/Falcon. I have yet to find a stocking Falcon shock seller that was keeping their own stock to ship and not dropping shipping them from Falcon. Most Teraflex product seem to be in the same way.

Doubt it, I buy a ton of stuff from eBay and generally that is not how it works. If they put up a delivery date most reputable sellers deliver on or before it. I recently got a Fox TS steering stabilizer from a seller on eBay within a week when every other place was saying multi week delivery.

Etrailer.com said they had the Redarc Tow Pro Elite in stock and after it did not ship after 7 days I canceled and ordered from 4wd Hardware and had it within 2 days.

Great argument against globalization right there.

Trickle down costs plus the inevitable inflation from the what $11 trillion flooded into the economy....

Hold on to your butts.

There is a reason why used car prices are skyrocketing besides the chip shortage. There is a reason for the chip shortage beyond covid.

It isn't hard to look around and see, things are not getting better in any respect.

Yes I am on the phone with Major hauling companies everyday. They have equipment sitting not making money cause they can't get drivers. Many because of drugs and others because well I guess they just don't want to work.

@Gvsukids yes I did. They have no control over another entity’s shipping, but they could’ve coordinated with them knowingly and adjusted their timeframe instead of adding their generic “in stock ships within 4 days”.
It is quite cumbersome to check each product individually though but checking with each Brand would be more ideal.

We're so used to just clicking and having it show up on the doorstep in 2-3 days! Wasn't that long ago that you filled out an order form, send off a money order, and waited till it got here......4-6 weeks was the standard!
I don't mind waiting. When I bought the ARE Topper, I knew it was 8 weeks and.... in eight weeks it got here. What pisses me off, and I mean really pisses me off is being f*****g LIED TO.....

To much reliance on manufacturing from overseas locations is a big factor.

I operate a repair and retail shop that specializes in off road vehicles.

I gave up long ago with trying to satisfy the walk in client. I could have 1mil in inventory, still not have what a person was looking for due to so many choices, and even if I did have it.......I had to ask more than the internet for the item.

From my point of view, the people have done this to themselves. The big chains are the only ones who can survive this and we know how poor the service and product quality usually is at those establishments.

First the price has to be the cheapest, then it has to show "In stock", or people wouldn't place order from them. Its all bait, hook, and reel.......

I locked my front doors 3 years ago and operate by appointment only.......No more time wasters jerking my chain all day, I get home for dinner on time now, and I make more money.
True people went to Amazon, etc so much they dropped the small mom/pop brick morter shops. I have always tried to us local business as much as possible. Guess it comes from growing up in small southern town and watching Walmart come in and systematically shut down every business and small mom/pop shop until they were the only game in town and controlled everything. Now people are crying cause they want the old way back but sadly it won't ever come back.

Walmart and Amazon didn’t shut down the small business’ the people who live around the small business’ shut them down by not purchasing from them.
Yes, the people have done this to themselves.

I feel lucky to have a client base that is willing to wait and pay what it takes to put out a quality product. I just need to hang on for another 2751.5 days to reach my retirement goal.

My latest challenge is not being able to find help that will do quality work no matter what I offer to pay. Booking 2 months out right now, but honestly....who can wait 2 months for a daily driver to get back on the road?
