Basic question here, how do you identify a MAX TOW option on the window sticker and what options make up a MAX TOW package?

It'll say it clearly on the window sticker. Also look for the extra little lip on the fender flares. Basically the package includes:

Heavy duty cooling system (no idea what that means)
Wide-track axles
4.10 rear
Larger alternator
Limited slip rear
A zoomable back-up camera
Hitch receiver and pins.
I've also heard there can be some difference in the brakes but that might be BS.

I love that limited slip on the back of mine. What it can do just in 2WD is impressive. It's also a lot of fun running around at moderate speed in the sand around here - that back end kicks out perfectly.

The HD cooling system is a bit more powerful electric fan.

I love my Max Tow - so much that I had ordered it specifically for myself.

From the research I have done, I believe the "Heavy duty cooling system", is a higher output fan.

Interesting how the prices change over the years. Mine is a 2021.

I just went out and confirmed mine has trailer-hitch zoom. I hadn't noticed that!

Looking at Jeep's website, both the "Trailer Tow and Auxiliary Switch Group" and the Max Tow Package include the 240-amp alternator and the receiver hitch, so that almost explains the $1295 price for the Aux Switches. They forgot to give me my spare alternator and hitch, though.

Fan + Higher amp alternator to back it up. The higher amp alternator is a nice feature if you want to use the trailer plug to draw current from the trailer outlet to charge off or on board house batteries. The 7 pin connector contains a lead powered whenever the engine is running and another that runs the trailer backup lamps. You can get a pigtail and wire it for an auxiliary back up lamp or to run power to the bed. I've used such a pigtail to run a portable water transfer pump for a bed mounted tank.

Stand alone it's a very worthwhile option, adds a lot of value for the money.

There are undoubtedly different springs as well, since the payload increases quite a bit with the max tow package.

I think the springs and 4.10 gears are the only things I'm missing out on with a Nighthawk+standard tow package.

You're missing the heavy duty wide axles.

I wish the FTC would clamp down on that kind of stuff of not giving a credit for overlapping options. That is another one of those extra things they scrape extra profit from that they use to not.
