So how many of the $$$$ you put in your Gladiator are visible walking by it?

I realized today that a big chunk of my mod money has been hidden: trusses/gussets/gears/axle shafts/RCVs/drive shaft, dual ARB air compressor, lift (somewhat hidden), full aluminum skids, etc.... Some are clearly visible like tires/wheels, winch, rockers/side steps, hinge steps, and the rack.

If you just walked by my Gladiator you would have no idea what the thing cost me. But if you are going to do hard trails you've gotta do it right.

So far it’s been about 50/50, but most of the “hidden” stuff is actually accessories like an air compressor, recovery boards (not mounted), etc. The visible portion so far has been Rubi suspension, spacers, and Mojave take-off wheels and tires, though you could argue they’re hidden to anyone that doesn’t know one trim level from the next.

Most of what’s on deck is pretty noticeable, though... tonneau cover, crossbars, basket, winch.

Its an interesting question, though to be honest I haven't thought about it till I read this post. im not trying to make a statement to the world if that makes sense. im building a rig next month that suites what I want and what I do, with that said I think only about 25% of what I ordered will be noticeable by a walk by, lift, tires, bumper and bed cover. everything else is internal or hidden from plane view such as track brace, armorlite flooring, hood struts, supercharger ext. From most build threads ive seen here, that seems to be the norm from the outside we only see the tip of the ice on what modifications someone has done.

interesting though.

Agreed. I hadn't thought of it until today either. I set out to build it how I want it. In my mind I have done tons of mods. I was a bit surprised when I glanced at my JT today and it didn't seem like as many mods as I have pictured.

Off topic.....

I just noticed under occupation you are a liquor attorney in Minnesota. With your employer we may end up doing business some day. My distillery is expanding to more states. We are in Minnesota now but only in Total Wine stores.
How does one actually become this what you call a liquor attorney?

Asking for a friend. ?

You're gonna have to ask syreeves that. I'd imagine it involved a lot of keg parties during law school, but that's just a guess. :CWL:

Me, I just make the liquor. No advanced degrees required.
