There’s no damn way. Even if you have 4.10s. I’m sorry, it’s just not possible. You add a supercharger or do a hemi swap also that you forgot to mention? I know it’s not a diesel since it’s a manual.Came with 33s stock.
All I’m saying is I don’t feel the need to rush to regear at least not now. There’s no damn way. Even if you have 4.10s. I’m sorry, it’s just not possible. You add a supercharger or do a hemi swap also that you forgot to mention? I know it’s not a diesel since it’s a manual.
What was the cost to go to 5.13s?It’s all opinion and depends on how you use your Gladiator and what you expect. I lost over 2 1/2 seconds in the zero to 60 after going from stock 33s to 37s on my Rubi with 4.10 gears. Towing wasnt great and rock crawling felt too fast. Pretty much lost the use of 6th gear in anything resembling a hill. Went to 5.13 gears and sooo much better now. YMMV
I would've thought that most people that go from stock to 37s pick up more than 5 lb per corner. Either way it's significantly more rotating inertia combined with a taller gear. And most have 3.73s.Came with 33s stock.
It was about $1500. $850 for Yukon Gears and $650 for labor, fluids, shop supplies. One if the best mods ever since it’s something you use everytine you drive the Jeep. What was the cost to go to 5.13s?
True. To each their own. The right axle gearing (I have 5.13 with 37” tires) makes a huge difference. I have a Centerforce clutch and wow - by far the best Manual setup I’ve ever had in about 30 years of driving. The manual transmission on the JL/JT is a practice of patience and tolerance, in any form. From the strange gearing, to the oem tune. It’s not a great pairing. But to each their own.
Interesting - I wasn't even aware that there were aftermarket clutches for the JL/JT. What would you say the improvement is?True. To each their own. I haven’t done the recall. It’s a joke. The after market clutch is so much better. Earlier take up, more positive engagement. Better crawling, better backing, better towing, better take offs on the street. Just goes much better. Only con is an increase in pedal effort that I don’t even notice anymore.Interesting - I wasn't even aware that there were aftermarket clutches for the JL/JT. What would you say the improvement is?
Did you have your Jeep reflashed or whatever for the clutch recall, too? I think it was to reduce the torque output as to not burn up the clutch or something...
