2.) The braided line, though pretty it started to fray a little on the ends.

looks like you need a small black zip tie to stop the braided cover from fraying.

Yeah so the kit came with 2 medium sized zipties. I don't know if it was there for a fix to the issue of the fraying, but there's nothing in the instructions. I may end up putting a little tie or even a drop of superglue to hold it down if it gets bad, for now its hidden and only time will tell.

I hope this is going to be in the frame and not the wear item blades.
Most likely they will use replcment rubber. Same as before and what Chrysler does on JK rear wipers

Did the wiper washer mod yesterday. Pretty easy thanks to previous input by others on the forum. MoPar’s directions left a lot to be desired. I took care of the braided line fraying by using heat shrink at all four places. The braided line is just a protective cover for the tubing under it. Heat gun on low heat used. Had just enough hose to get to both wipers. This was after running the line through an existing hole in the foam block at the cowl, (see pic). Different than the posted YouTube video. Wipers came off only with battery terminal puller. Pleased with the end result. Haven’t tested yet. Will do when I wash the truck sometime this week.

Just adding one more data point on the wipers
Happy -CHECK
Hose length - plenty
Wiper nuts - corroded (cleaned and painted)
Removal of blades - needed a puller (very light pressure with the puller, so probably more the straight pull, than leverage)
MPG and HP increase -10.25% ;)
Tip - the fabric coating was coming unfrayed on both, so I added some shrinkwrap (which might also help with rubbing)

Installed a pair on my 2020 over the weekend. Went pretty much the same as above. No issues with length (there was plenty of tubing to reach both wipers). I already have a puller, so removing the wiper arms was trivial (they were a little tight, but popped right off with the puller). I found the instructions to be sparse but sufficient, along with the examples provided by the other posters (thanks to all that posted pics/info!).

Not seeing any fraying yet but if I do, I'll take the examples above and slap some heatshrink over the ends.

Functionality seems good, so far -- haven't been in any situations where they have been truly tested, I suspect my feelings may change one way or the other over the winter as it gets colder but I'll see I guess. Pleased so far.

Received & installed mine today. It took about ½-hr.
The braided line cover was in pretty good shape, but I went ahead and put ~5mm of weatherized heatshrink on the ends anyway (weatherized heatshrink tubing has some sealant inside the tubing.)
I didn't need a puller for the wiper arms, but I've had the arms off before.
I need to reposition the nasty little tubing clips, and there's a mod. I'm gonna make once the parts arrive, then I'll put up some pictures.
All in all, I'm happy with the product.

I picked up the kit from BAM. Not a bad deal in that it includes another set of inserts. So, really the equivalent of 4 total wiper blades. Everything installed as expected and the results are great. The real added bonus - no more washer fluid spraying on your head when the top is down. Also, I did not have any sort of pullers, all the was needed was a firm bump on the hinged part of the wiper arm and they popped right off. Here is a video demonstrating the trick: (1) Audi how to remove wiper arm without special tools “Jan V8” - YouTube

People Work?
Finally got some cooler weather, so I did my install this morning.

Notes:

  • Painted the nuts because they appeared to have no corrosion protection.
  • The T's that you use to align the wipers are there.
  • The puller was definitely needed
  • I capped the OE line to keep critters and dirt out
  • Use some wire loom to protect the exposed rubber hose
  • Tied the new hose to the old one for added rigidity and support
  • My braided cuts were clean and not frayed but I put some heat shrink on them anyway.
Tested and seem like they'll work fine.

Its funny, being the first to do something has its down falls. I wish I thought about the heat shrink to help the fraying, I wish I thought about capping off the old line etc.

For the price the heat shrink should have been included,
