That's fast. I'll be at a Jeep Invasion next week, so I hope I can see it firsthand from the vendors.

I didn't look at all the differences between the brands carrying the digital version, but your mention of the M maybe being manual mode surprised me. As mentioned previously, they don't recommend this pump for single tires as it ruins the duty cycle from back pressure. That was one benefit I thought the digital versions had; a button that could switch it from single to multi tire.

But maybe that's just the Ez Flate version. I can't tell what the buttons say on the Thor version, but their description says it automatically detects the number of tires connected.
The 5th bullit point down mentions manual mode.

@JTenn @Silverator @JarHeadLV or anyone else with the Morrflate, or comparable 4 tire system...

What do you think about the straight hose and wrapping it up to put away? Does it work well and have an automatic tendency to prevent kinks or twists?

I've seen the coil ones which seem like they'd put away faster. Or should I say, a single coil may put away faster, but with 4 it may just provide a lot of tangle points. I'm pretty sure the coil is less heavy duty too, but I think either would suffice in durability for me.
Hey @GladLad - I've been a musician all my life and coiled many thousands of cords and have very defined thoughts on "coiled" vs "straight" cords. I HATE the coiled ones. They ALWAYS get tangled.

The Morrflate straight green lines are smooth, and easy to coil up. I've got the "over, under" technique down from mic cables and such to just not even think about it. Yeah, sometimes they might get jumbled if I'm in a hurry or someone is waiting on me (rarely, as I'm almost always done airing up first - LOL), but they always come undone easy, and are easy to manipulate.

I'd recommend them 100%. And from experience, I'd never buy the coiled ones...

Good luck!!!

There you go!

This is what needs to show up when you Google "coiled vs straight hose 4 tire inflation kit." There's just not enough discussion on it to show up very easily.

Morrflate made the right choice to stick with just straight hose then. Though it's nice that there's still options for different budgets.

Thumbs up. And thumbs down. A little over- under technique reference.

and the rubber covers are very helpful to avoid that.
Hey, thanks for that tip! I didn't know they had those. They will certainly come in handy. I just ordered a set. Here's a link for anyone interested :

<snip>
I put an Anderson plug under the front bumper directly wired to the battery. Simple to connect the pump without opening the hood.
Interesting. I was thinking about something like that. Any pics or tips on how you did that? Did you put a disconnect between battery and plug? Thanks!

Juniper Overland did it for me. It’s attached under the front bumper passenger side. No switch or breaker - it draws a lot of current so they would be BIG.

I spliced the compressor pump with 2 more connectors so I can use the clamps if I need to (maybe to help air up someone else).

Thanks for the link. Just ordered some covers. I have had to lube the fittings in the past. They get really difficult to install and remove once they get dirty.

Honestly I don’t know the gauge. It is was about same as was on the compressor.
Thanks. I'm pretty sure it's 10Ga. Bigger than 12, and I think smaller than 8 so.... :) :)

I also have this Alltop compressor and have been very pleased with it. It's never let me down, only aired me up ?. It really is a good affordable compressor. The new Morrflate will now reside in the off road packout box and the old one will stay in my truck under the seat for anything else. My only negative issue with the Alltop is it has weird non standard fittings but I converted mine to accept normal 1/4" quick connects. Had to make an adapter in order to use the Morrflate tire inflation kit. And yes it did fit under the back seat laid on its side.
Would their adaptor work with all top compressor?

Napa has had a dual head for cheaper, 10.6cfm, 90amp, I paid $120 ish. For the DIY person, you can assemble all of the 4-flate hose pieces from Amzn and the local big box store, for cheaper, and that makes it easier for you in the event that you need repairs. You can go simple, or go fancy, or upgrade over time. Personally, I was in disbelief when I saw how fast my setup would air up the OEM at3w tires from 20psi to 37psi; compressor-time was under/around 3min for all 4 tires combined.

moreflate makes a great product, and if you chose to go the diy path, here are a couple of notes:
  • The Anderson connectors are usually rated for 45amps and these dual head compressors pull 90amp. Take care to NOT create a fire hazard. Keep your engine running while these things draw from your battery. Some folks might even connect these things to a spare overlanding battery to ensure that they don’t negatively impact the vehicle’s electronics.
  • Get the triple-clamp connectors for the valve stems
  • Hose internal diameter matters a bit; I think some folks saw faster inflation times with a smaller hose ( presumably faster to compress the air in the hose ); the little small curly/pig-tail hoses are a battle to untangle every time, and I would avoid the mostly-polyurethane hoses ( they are a pain to add leak-free fittings )
  • Use compression clamps for air fittings, not screw-style hose clamps
  • Duty cycle may not matter that much, assuming your tires are aired up before the compressor gets hot
  • Consider adding a small holding-tank ( concealed or not ) as a buffer; if you really need air tools then go to a power-tank.

I would say no. I had to uncouple the Alltop connector from the hose. I spliced that connector into a short piece of hose then used a normal connector on the other end. This allows me to connect any standard hose to the Alltop

I've been looking into getting a compressor and leaning towards the Morrflate. How have you all been liking yours over the last few years, any issues?

Also I ran across this video comparison when researching the different brands. He gets into some pretty interesting details at around the 25 min mark about the Morrflate, EZ and Thor's lightning compressors and there are a few significant internal differences in them even though they do look very similar.

I purchased a MORRFlate TenSix compressor two years ago and it has held up well.

Having a 4-way inflation capable compressor was an eye opener for me. I had been airing down using Staun deflators on each wheel and airing up one tire at a time.

I found a list of parts and instructions on how to make a 4-way inflation system and put one together.

@1945gpw Morrflate 10-6 has been great for me. Still airs up all 4 from 15 to 35 in about 4-1/2 minutes. I also use the 4 way hose to air down. Much more reliable and quicker that the staun deflators i was using.
