I was questioning humanity and mankind’s overall intelligence level this morning. I was convinced that we as humans were not that bad until I ran across these monstrosities. WTF! All hope is lost.

I have a fantasy about getting one of these, put a supercharged modern V6 in it, and make an electrically-operated exhaust bypass that actually goes out the portholes.

With maybe some nitrous injection to boot. A real sleeper.
Those are "Scenic Ventaports", not meerly portholes, just for the record!

I think its more of a size thing. They usually replace the spare tire on most trucks. That system is a beast and no matter what direction it faces, its deafening lol

Oof I’m an idiot. But I’m the rear? Is it more of a fuck you to tailgaters?

I’ll admit I do like the train blaster horn set up. I think I can justify it by saying the same compressor and tank can also run lockers and on board air (air tools and lower tire pressure air up). The big F you blast would just be a side benefit of the other stuff.

Thought that was a "carolina lean"

This was called the Carolina Squat. Fortunately here in North Carolina, it's now outlawed. Before I retired I wanted to write some tickets for some of the ones I saw that were more extreme than this one. Law was enacted after I turned in my retirement. ?

What’s the reason for a law? Do you measure something? If someone has a load in the bed and is squatting on the bump stops do they get a ticket? If you had to ticket every vehicle that looks dumb, you would be sick of writing tickets. ?
That whole Carolina squat isn't achievable because of weight in the bed. Its literally like an 8 inch front lift and a slammed rear end. Id imagine the law would be the fact that you couldn’t see shit driving

The reason for the law is the danger of not having a good site line and the inability to adjust the headlights for safety.
The law has nothing to do with a loaded bed, only when an owner has raised the front and lowered the rear. I've seen many that you couldn't imagine seeing out the windshield without only seeing sky.

The law uses measurements to determine compliance.

The new law says that a vehicle would be violating the law “if the suspension, frame, or chassis, the height of the front fender is 4 or more inches greater than the height of the rear fender.” The language of the bill also describes how the measurements are obtained.

The penalty is “mandatory revocation of license” for at least a year.
