Noticed that this subject hasn't updated in a while, thought I would throw my 2 cents in as I just got my Overland 2 weeks ago with 1200 miles on it presently. I live in upstate NY where it is fairly hilly and then becomes moderately mountainous towards the Adirondacks which I do drive through almost every weekend to get home, about 3 hours from where I work. If I fill up right before I leave, I tend to show about 21mpg after driving approximately 150 miles. But around my working area, the best I get is generally 15mpg, if I nurse it. I do have the ESS on, but rarely use it, most of the traffic around here is stop sign driven, so as soon as someone goes through, I'm gone. No time to just sit. Still, as compared to my 2013 King Ranch (sniff, I did love that truck) I sold to help finance the Gladiator, I'll take 15mpg. The best I was getting with the truck was 13-14, in the summer. Forget about winter when a lot of time was spent in full or partial time 4WD!
When I drive Upstate NY mostly rt 17 I get 19MPG at most with the manual...

After 3300+ miles and testing various tire pressures, here are my findings.

Trim: Rubicon
Stock wheels/tires: Falken Wildpeak AT3
City/highway driving per day: 20miles/20miles. (Exactly 50/50 ratio)
ESS: Off

Tire Pressures:
31psi cold - 16.5 miles per gallon
34psi cold - 18 miles per gallon
37psi cold - 18.5 miles per gallon

I did the chalk test on my driveway and results told me to keep my tire pressure around 33psi cold for even wear.

Current tire pressure: 35psi cold. Best compromise for on-road feel and mpg.

so you noticed better mileage with higher pressure? I’m running 31psi hot on my 37” falkens and am only getting 17mpg on highway. I went 31psi because the chalk test gave me the most coverage

500 miles
Ave 25mpg in mixed driving

stock wheels
Falken MT 33”

Expecting better after some more break in time.
Then worse after the 37s get here.

2500 miles and I haven’t reset anything so I assume my mpg average is for that entire time? ( I haven’t even opened the owners manual yet). Mixed driving, broke 22 MPG on the highway today.

So I want to start a new thread where those who have upgraded their JT's to larger than factory sized tires can post their MPGs and range. Though those running completely stock or just with nonfactory tires/wheels should also post. It will be a one stop thread for all info regarding this subject. Should also prevent recurrent, "What's you MPG?" questions.
I know Smiles per Gallon etc. I get it. I actually don't care about the financial part that much. My reasoning is I plan to use this for an overland vehicle. I have an ecodiesel WK2 that I love the range on. So I'm really trying to decide (like many are) is the increased power and range of the diesel, but likely worse (though still unkown) reliability of the gen 3 ecodiesel, worth waiting for compared to the decreased range and power of the gas engine (though more history showing good reliability).
I plan on doing a lot of cross country trips on 37"s with gear, so If I'd getting a range of less than 300-350 miles with the gasser, but >400 with the diesel then it's worth it ( assuming both have 22 gal tanks).
This is not to debate on merits of gas vs diesel (cost, reliabilty etc.). This is to give myself and those wanting to run larger tires an idea of what to expect. And potentially the MPG/Range difference is between gas or diesel (once released).
Pictures are highly encouraged.

I'd like it to be fairly standardized.
Jeep year & trim: (Rubicon, Overland, Sport)
Mileage: (XXXXX)
Engine: (3.6 pentastar, 3.0 ecodiesl, Future options)

Fuel type: ( 87 octane, 89 octane, biodiesel, etc)
Lift: (stock, Mopar 2", Metalcloak 3.5, etc)
Tire size and model: (37x12.5R17 Nitto Trail Grapplers)
Diff gearing: (3.73, 4.10, 4.88 etc)
Tuned?: (yes/no which ones)
Other add-ons: (Supercharger, aftermarket turbo, CAI, etc.)
Tire PSI: ()
Speedometer recalibrated? (yes/no)
EVIC or hand calculated?:
Local driving conditions: ( Flat, hilly mountains, sea level, altitude, towing, highway, city)
Average MPG:
Anything else of interest.
i have a 2020 Jeep gladiator Sport S without max tow package with 3.73 gear ratio. I added a 2.5” rough country level kit, 35x12.5x20 tires and 20” rims.
Gas mileage has been around 19-20 on the highway. My speedometer hasn’t yet been calibrated and is currently off by 3-5 mph once I do this it will help even more. This was done with the wind at my back today while doing a test run. On the way home into the wind I was getting around 17.6 mpg. Not bad at all. I’m in the Houston area and mostly flat here which helps. My new 35” tires also only weigh 49lbs while most are around 70lbs which also helps allot. Any additional questions feel free to ask

Very nice. I really don’t understand why people are only getting in som cases as low as 11mpg but typically 13-16mpg. Must be weight of new wheels and rims and perhaps the terrain and the way they are driving I don’t know. Your getting very good results however I like it 💪💪

Some of it is driving style, some of it is wheel/tire weight, a lot of it is really poor/too lean engine tuning and restricted intake on stock trucks.

I was getting 20 mpg with a stock gladiator

put 18” with 33” grapplers dropped down to 14-15 mpg. Wondering, I will try a speedometer adjustment, didn’t think I needed. It’s mainly highway miles. What tire pressure you guys keep your ridge grapplers ?

Fellow Houstonian here! What tires did you end up going with? I'm wanting to upgrade to 35s with a 2.5 Metalcloak lift, can't decide on tires though. I am looking to stay light with them to keep my mileage decent.
