Sneaking suspicion this group is getting some new listens

:whatsgoingon:

Foo Fighters is an American rock band formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1994. It was founded by former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl ... The group took its name from "Foo fighter", a nickname coined by Allied aircraft pilots for UFOs and other aerial phenomena.

I have one playlist on my apple music that is 48 hours long, mostly red dirt country with a little classic rock, grunge and blues mixed in for good measure.

Too difficult for me to pick specific songs. I'm a music junkie but never listen to FM Radio. On Sirius, its Outlaw Country, Willie's Roadhouse, First Wave, Lithium, or occasionally 90s on 9. Most of the time I listen to my downloaded music, and I'm usually listening to punk rock, rockabilly, pyschobilly, CLASSIC country (no pop country/country rock/country rap) and occasionally 80's or 90's hip hop/rap.

Omg... Afroman, wow, that's a throw back! You're all over the charts, same as I am.
I like pretty much anything other than the new pop/rock stuff. Especially stuff I can sing along with. I can't sing, and I look pretty silly boppin along, but I'm happy!

If I'm on Sirius XM I have an eclectic mix of 60s through the 00s, Country, Rock, Octane, Classical. My only wish was that the 8.4 radio would list the songs playing on the various preset channels so I can see what is there and go to it without having to page through the channels.
If I'm on my USB drive it is much the same. songs from the 60s on up to modern dance tracks, Disturbed, Neil Diamond, Linkin Park, Various Country, Classical (a nice version of the 1812 Overture with full choral), movie themes, Bluegrass.
You name it, I probably listen to it.

Yesterday was Slade "Keep Your Hands Off My Power Supply".

This is a fun thread. I don't know what the criteria is, but the kids and I definitely keep an ear out for a "jeepin' song". If we hear one that we can just picture cruisin' around to, we add it to our Jeep playlist. Country, rock, some oldies, not big on hip-hop but there are a couple in there. Songs that just make you feel happy and free.

Shortly after I picked up my Gladiator, my buddy who had been away in the Air Force came back into town. We and a couple other fraternity brothers loaded up and cruised around. We got stopped at a red light and Katy Perry's "Firework" came on. 4 mid-30s dudes in an open air Jeep belting out and fist pumping to Firework made everyone at the downtown intersection crack up.

I had ticket to go see them...Then the pandemic Hit ;(

Try opening for Metal Allegiance and having Alex Skolnick in the crowd watching you play. I'm just glad I play the bass and not lead guitar.

Back on point. I listed to Classic Rock, Prog Rock, and 80's Metal with a little progressive Death Metal as well. I can go from Floyd to Slayer and back to the Moody Blues.

I think it was the Practice What you Preach tour. I think, it's been a while. They had on duty police officers in the venue. Charis were thrown all over place for the pit. Brutal.

Also saw Overkill in a bar in Lawrence, KS. I got to do a little stage diving there. Between that and the mosh pit, I wa so sore the week or so.

Youtube recommended this to me and I liked it so much I bought the album (mp3) and have been jamming it pretty much non-stop since.

Your choices would make my wife happy at least part of the time - classic country, Willie's Roadhouse, etc..
No stations actually play my tastes so it's pretty much what I buy/download/rip from my own stuff (most of it dated back decades).
I have yet to find some of my faves on anything except youtube.
