I kinda sorta am able to navigate the interwebs, but using the search function here and over at the JL place has done nothing but boggle my mind.
I’ll try and lay it out without meandering too much.
1. BFG KO2’s come in 35” and 315 that seem to have quite a bit difference in price. Which are most folks preferring on a Mojave Gladiator? And why one over the other?
2. Leveling and slightly lifting a Mojave, I see AEV mentioned frequently. Just go with them above all others? Spacers and something I can do in my driveway is what I’m seeking.
3. Wheels wheels and more wheels! Going to be a Gobi Mojave and I HATE Black wheels. Searching all over for a Tan or Sand colored wheel and they are few. Is anyone running some of the matte Bronze that they wouldn’t mind posting some pics of? Not going to be Machined or Aluminum colors. Prefer to have an Earthtone on Gobi. Is powder coating going to be my only real option in order for it not to clash?

I’ve got so many other questions that get lost in the shuffle while searching but I’ll start with these. Thanks for the links and pics incoming. You are a great bunch of folks. If only I were forty years younger these searches might be simpler.

1. 35x12.5 and 315/70/17 are almost identical, 315 are referred to “metric 35s”. Also take into account, 35x and 37x tires often run anywhere from .25-1 inch less than their 35x or 37x designation. Before I found a killer deal on 37s, I was planning on running 35s on my Mojave and the price difference was crazy between 315 and 35x. I went with 315 before finding the 37s.

2. There is a new thread on lifting Mojave every week, but to summarize all of them, the AEV kit (which I have) is great. Everything you need for proper factory suspension function. It can be done in your driveway, if you have enough tools and sockets to get to hard to reach places. I did mine at a DIY auto shop and a lift helps GREATLY. Only specialty tool I really needed was a spring compressor, I couldn’t get the rear coils in and I had the brake lines at more tension than I was comfortable with. Any other lift height, or lift kit, you’re defeating the purpose of the Mojave and it won’t function the way it’s supposed to from factory.

3. I’m a big fan of Method bronze wheels and had them on my canyon. Matte with an ever so slight pop.

Usually the difference between inch and metric tires is also the load rating, most times metric have less rating, and are more comfortable of a ride.

The 315 70 17 is slightly wider than the 35 12.5 17 is but .1" shorter which you will not notice. You will notice the difference in width between the two though. I could tell when I rolled the 315 70 17 up to my 37 12.5 17 that the width was definitely bigger on the 315.

I believe on a 17" rim, the BFG specs on the 35" call for an 8.5" min. rim, whereas the the 315's only need an 8" min. rim. Also, the 315's can be had in a C load rating or E load rating, and I think the 35's only come in an E.

Love those but damn they are pricey! A simple wheel that doesn’t take 10 minutes each to clean is what I prefer, and a not too busy look. These are close but probably out of my price range. Thanks though for your effort.
They also make a regular one that's not beadlock?

You can see the 315 70 17 ones are slightly wider than the 37 12.5 17 ones. You can mount them on the stock wheels no issues. Discount will mount them all day long, no danger in it.

I had the wheels on my JL powder coated, no regrets. Just make sure you work with a shop familiar with doing wheels.

I had mine on my BMW X5 50i powder coated gloss black about 7 months ago. Cost me $250 and was well worth it. They came out awesome.
