Auto park “Feature”. Buckle the seat belt or better yet just get an extender and never worry about the auto park or chime again. Easy peasy.

If you have an auto pop it into the "N" setting. If you have a manual then it's the loose setting between all of your gears :P

Honestly this is 1 of the many reasons I refused to get any of the big nanny packages with auto cruise because it has AUTO STOP ("collision avoidance") and there's no way in hell that I want the vehicle to do something so important as to stop when I don't want it to.

I read plenty of horror stories on multiple forums about CA almost causing accidents and almost always causing embarrassment. Auto car washes were 1 of the examples used by someone. If it does try to stop while you're rolling in the carwash you can mess something up under your Jeep, as well as cause an accident there with someone behind you. Maybe cause the whole thing to stop too.

Question for everyone. My Jeep Gladiator will not roll through the automatic car wash while in neutral. It also wouldn’t pull ahead while I was trying to park in my garage. I have to park so close to the wall for it to fit. It’s like the parking brake was set. I don’t or can’t find the button to turn off my front bumper sensor. When I look it up on the internet it shows a “P” off but my does not have it on my center Consol. I think I have 2 separate issues. Jeep is brand new with 100 miles on it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
It's probably because the Jeep knows that automatic carwashes are horrible for your paint.

Grab a bucket and a hose.... results will be more satisfying.
Neither my TJ or the JT see car washes. I can hose off any mud and get extra fill for the yard, and in the TJ I'd get too wet

Absolutely not..... the "In Motion" feature that allows you to enter info into the map program while you are driving has nothing to do with the long ago lost lets call it, "Auto Park" feature.

Early on, the Tazer JL had a feature that defeated auto park, but the feature was quickly no more after FCA changed programming on the JL's. Joe was never able to get lets say, auto park again.

If anyone thinks I am wrong, reach out to Joe at ZAutomotive and he will set you straight..

And it worked on my truck...so I guess these videos are wrong and my trucks autopark is just broken?

So, some half-wit does a YouTube video and you take it as fact..... shame on you... 8-) At that don't even believe me...

I was aware of this nonsensical video... did you read the comments there in regard to the video..

Anyway, bet me $100, then text Joe @ ZAutomotive and ask him.

TEXT, Joe at 631-533-3363 -Do not call this text support line which is for text only..
IT WORKED ON MY TRUCK. I need no other proof. Im done with this. If you choose to believe otherwise that's fine

What's the difference between a halfwit and a fullwit on youtube?

I mean, if you count the quarterwit watching, meaning myself, does that add up to a 3/4 wit?

Here, Joe who owns ZAutomotive explains about how he cannot get Tazer JL to deal with auto park. (ap-killl)

The post is from 2019. If you want to verify auto park defeat is a no go, do text Joe and ask him.
Joe, has tried over and over to get ap-kill to work but no way...

Disable the auto park with a Tazer?
And disable the "Auto Park" with a short seat belt extender. After a while you forget it's there and you can back up with the door open and seat belt disconnected all day long.

3 pages of ideas to help with the car wash. But yet noone asked if when going thru said car wash if you get out of the truck. If I remember correctly with autopark, you still need weight in the driver's seat. Otherwise, guess what happens.

Door ajar...... try this one on for size. If you ever pull your doors off, try and pull into your garage and slightly lift off you your seat. Brakes ON!

Sensor in seat must tell it I “fell out of truck”.

I too park very close to right of garage so I sit up a bit to make sure I dont tear a fender off. It must have been hilarious to watch me. I would sit up and truck would stop. No door to close so it must be the seat. I’ll admit. It took me 3 times to figure it out. ?????
