That would only make sense on a vehicle already in their inventory, not one you custom friggin ordered and waited for. I'd be livid.
The salesman quickly learned that you don't mess with my wife. And the fact that we told them to enjoy their new Jeep and got up to leave. What a joke. "A little" over EP was $1800.

Yea that’s ridiculous. Salesperson I went with originally had zero idea what was being sold or options.

At maximum, I could see a couple hundred due to ‘chip stuff’ - but any increase should be comminicated well before pickup.

That's great information, @19Delta.

Aside from Tread Lightly, some folks may be able to use their employer's Affiliate Program (still 1%). There is a comprehensive list here:

https://www.fcausaffiliates.com/content/affiliate-rewards/index.html

Scroll to the bottom and you'll see a search box that says "Am I Eligible?" Start typing your company name and it will display a list of matching companies as you type. You may be surprised... also available to Spouses, so if your significant other is employed at an Affiliate, you can still get the discount!
Thank you for this information. I just put my company in and I am eligible for the 1% discount. Do you know if I would have had to tell the dealer before I ordered or can I tell him now?

You should communicate that early if you want to use it. I would not "surprise" him with it when you show up to sign the papers.

If you've already negotiated a price lower than 1% under invoice, then you may not want to use it, or see if they can take whatever discount they offered and add another 1% to it? That's what Gupton in TN does (and I assume others as well)

I just took the 1% and ran... didn't want to drive to TN ;)

I plan on sending him a message Monday. I'm paying invoice price (3 other local dealers wanted msrp or higher) so im hoping he can add it. When we ordered the jeep he told me I'd get whatever incentives are available at the time of purchase and not when I ordered, so hopefully he keeps his word.

Then you should definitely use it... FCA pays them on the back-end for the additional 1% so they are still made whole. Not all dealerships honor it but if they do honor affiliate pricing at all, then they will honor yours (they can't pick and choose which customers get it and which don't, if they are in the program they are "in")

You will need verification of employment (in writing) as well as your control number. The dealer has to send both to FCA to get the credit on their invoice. Confirm ahead of time what they need so you can get it before you show up at the dealer.

The "incentives" he spoke about are not affiliate pricing, to be clear. Incentives are the things you see on the jeep.com website, like 0% financing, or $500 cash back, etc

What in the hell is going on with the FCA Affiliate site?!

I logged in to request my control number and it literally generated 7 of them. Yet under my FCA Affiliate profile it shows I've requested 0 out of the max of 2. I've written down all 7 and numbered them in order of being received in case one cancels out the next, but I'm not really sure what else to do except call them Monday.

You should get an email with the control number after it's generated. That email is what gets provided to the dealer. It will also show the expiration date.

They shotgunned his inbox with 7.

Maybe try convincing your dealer to drop 1% for each one and just add them together.

A few years back I did contract work at Chrysler ICT (the IT dept, basically). They CONSTANTLY had issues with Owner Connect and Dealer Connect. Really crappy developers who didn't know what they were doing... not surprised Affiliates suffers the same fate, sadly....

Like Mechjk said, each one of these emails contains a different control number.

My VIN on cryptostickers said 'updated' yesterday and then again today. When I reached out to jeepchat they didn't have any updates though. Any ideas what's going on? I don't think I'm getting great answers from jeepchat, but who knows.
