I love you, Solar, but if you average better than 12-13mpg, I’d be incredibly shocked. I get about that with my 37’s and 5.13’s.

Edit: I somehow forgot it was a diesel. Ok. You’re probably right. Dammit.
ive been in significantly heavier JT with the same gearing and much heavier 20s & 42 nittos showing 21 on the EVIC for an extended period of time running 70. The dash tends to he a little generous but thats my only first person data.

I don’t personally care about the mpg so much as I do overall range. Im pretty confident in the ability to run 520-540 miles to a tank if I keep my foot out of it.
Id actually expect 600 miles if I somehow found that many of country roads to cruise on

That’s definitely not possible with the gasser and 22 gallons. I drive it with a very light foot in town, and can’t get anywhere near averaging 15. My range on interstates is around 200 miles.

That is the biggest reason I went with the diesel, the range, not necessarily the actual mileage.
We'd practically need to fuel just to go to the in-laws. As it is, we can go visit and then come home before fueling if we want.

Thats rough and the reason I didn’t buy a gas
I knew id immediately be shopping for the 426 swap and lord knows what that would get on 42s. I enjoy driving my jeep back and forth to trails and a couple days a week just for fun.

new fuel cell capacity is 27 gallons btw

It doesn’t really bother me. 200 miles is plenty before I want to stretch my legs for 10 mins anyway. I love driving mine. On 42’s, maybe not, but on 37’s the way it’s setup, it handles better then when it was stock.

Those Savvy inner fender liners look great.

Is that a Savvy rear bumper?
Yes they cover everything and have internal clearances designed for a wide 43. I spent an absurd amount of time looking at options on the market before choosing what I did. I mean the gf thinking ive been cheating amount of absurd.

All the armor going on the jeep is savvy and the fenders are from Next Venture. I was a touch nervous about getting the very first set of rears made but they are certainly the nicest fit and finish ive ever seen when compared to motobilt, nemesis and genright fenders which most people would typically reference as the top 3 brands.

the engine trans skid is also from next venture with the UHMW. Once I can get a 3D scan of the belly of the jeep with the new suspension they will be building a Tcase/fuel filter skid for it. In the meantime I got that fuel filter skid from Asfir @Camaroboi13 and @Rusty PW recommended to get me by for a while and I swapped on a fresh factory tcase skid because the stock one was ruined. Everything else is now gone from underneath which is pretty weird to see

Genuinely, this will be my favorite gladiator period. And that does include mine, which of course will be demoted to 2nd place. You should be very proud of how you’ve planned this build.

That is a hell of a compliment brother I appreciate you!. Hopefully there will be a time you can see it and do some wheeling in it sooner than later.

its sorta ending up looking like a sema build but thats a consequence of seeking out ultra functional & durable designs and working backward from there.

I could have left everything raw to save conservatively 60 hours of color scheming ideas and a chunk of money in acquiring and applying powdercoat but the thought of feeling compelled to polish instead of wheel in free time made me feel icky. Raw also seemed to make the color of the jeep feel washed out. I did at the last second choose to leave the arms mostly raw because they will surely get rashed soon and the liners were so well designed that I felt I was doing savvy a disservice by hiding the details.
Fortunately it seems to be more complimentary than I expected
