Got a pretty nice deal on an Anvil Rubicon today. I want to maintain a stock or even better than stock ride. I will be putting new rims and some 35x12.5 tires on it very soon. I was thinking probably 2.5 inch lift? What is a great lift option? Im not looking to cheap out and certainly dont want to put any junk on it, but I will not be doing any serious mudding or rock crawling. Mainly just easing around the deer lease and pulling my boat around down here at the beach.
What say you guys?

I was pretty happy with the AEV 2.5" lift on my 22 Rubicon JT.

Put a 2.5" AEV Dual Sport RT Suspension lift. It's a billstien shock specifically tuned for Gladiator and really happy with it.

I’ve been very happy with Metalcloak products and customer service.

35x12.5x17 Mickey Thompson Baja Legends MTZ with no lift.

MetalCloak has a leveling kit for JT that will work great with 35’s - around $1,000 for that. You can choose option to keep your shocks if you’d like. https://metalcloak.com/jt-gladiator-leveling-lift-kits.html

They also the 2.5 True Dual Rate kit for around $1,900 - which is great if you don’t seriously off-road and don’t want to spend around $3,000 for the Game Changer kit. https://metalcloak.com/jeep-jt-gladiator-2-5-true-dual-rate-lift-kit.html

Sounds like a perfect situation for an AEV 2" spacer lift. You'll have plenty of room for the tires, a nice bump in breakover angle, and you'll keep exactly the stock ride with the stock springs/shocks. And, if you ever wanted to do some serious off roading, you still can do that. I had an AEV spacer lift on my JK and wheeled it pretty hard for about 150,000 miles. Never had an issue with the lift. It had plenty of articulation and held up beautifully, all with stock ride/handling.

It won't break the bank and is relatively easy to install, too.

I think the Clayton 2.5" Ride Right is a great value. Adjustable arms to set caster and adjustable track bars front and rear to center the axles. I went this route instead of spacers because I wanted a little more noticeable height and for the track bars and adjustable arms.

All that being said I also love my metalcloak 3.5GC but I’m running 38s. If I were sticking with 35s I’d def go low center gravity build and run high fenders / longer shocks

Look at the springs for sure when you're shopping. I did the the Mopar with Fox 2.0 lift and a 1" Terraflex level spacers on the front on my '22 Rubicon, the taller springs were progressive, still getting a feel for them, off the cuff it feels like more body roll and wobble, also replaced the steering damper just recently as I started to get a random nasty hop. I'm still on the factory '33 AT tires and wheels, I'm getting up close 40k miles.
