It definitely rides even better with the 35x12.5. pressure is lower (35) than stock and it's working even better to smooth things out. Stock tires like bricks compared.

Well there are no rear control arms on this so some inward movement is expected. I dont think it's a full 2" but I didn't measure that. Actually should help brakeover if you wanna wheel it.

35x12.5x17 Trail Grapplers

Could surely go 37s with this 2.5 kit imo
Looking good :like: You could get 37's under there on the 2.5" kit on a Sport/Sahara model, but there would be some minor rubbing when flexing it out. The 2.5" kit was designed for 37's on a Rubicon or 35's on a Sport/Sahara. Our 3.5" kit can fit 37's on a Sport/Sahara model no problem, and up to 39's on a Rubicon!

Wheels on the Rubicon. We didn't disconnect front, didn't need to. No rubbing or scraping, not even close. This was Tahoma side for a few miles in.

We were in search of one of the lakes being good to hang out at but weren't too confident it would pan out so we turned back and went to the beach.

Had zero issues doing it with no lockers. Am sure things change at Cadillac Hill.

Then found a rock in the parking lot that looked like a good reference rock for being able to fit under the rails. It definitely had more flex to go but this was to test clearance

Could've gone further but was unsure about gaining a few inches vs falling over the edge

@j.o.y.ride @Clayton Off Road - looks awesome! Question - does this kit maintain the factory rake?

I have a Sport with Max tow and want to maintain the rake as much as possible for when I’m towing our boat.

Thanks so much!!

The factory rake is tiny like 4.2*. My guy got 5.5* dialed in. Not just maintain but better. If you wanted to keep factory for some reason should be doable.

With more control arms you would be able to do even more. Remember this version is just one front.

Towing is one of the reason I chose @Clayton Off Road. I've been researching their lift ever since Metalcloak released theirs and I was disappointed in the lack of rake. Haven't installed mine yet, but I'm pretty positive I've made the right choice.

Remember this is the most basic version of just the 2.5", with JKS disconnects.

Also just using whatever rocks I could find. Back end is also up a bit in this pic, wish it were twisted but could not find a good spot.

Yes all of our lift kits keep some of the factory rake as we don't want to lose any of the functionality with these trucks. It's a little bit less than the factory rake, but towing should not be affected at all!

So I unfortunately didn't get measurements before & after. But here is a comparison..

The 2.5" is very under rated.

Before - The front end was already 1.5" higher then stock.

Body armor. They are only 4 something on quadratec.. I would say they are a step between the cheap nfab crap and quality stuff like the rockhard..
