I noticed on the 2022 Build & Price that the gas engine cover is missing on the gas engine pic but there on the diesel engine pic.

PS: I guess we should be grateful they ship them with the engine. only a matter of time before somebody goes "meh, global supply shortage, skip the engine" <sarcasm, but only in part, as somebody who grew up in a country where you had to inspect the vehicle you are picking up from the manufacturer's lot to make sure it has all wheels, all windows, starts and runs well>

No, not really, it's stressing how things like shielding and covers are often engineered for a purpose. AND it was answering a post that said those under-belly shields were going away.
You need to take it in context and look at the post it was in response to.

Mine is missing it. Build date of 11/21.

There's a bulletin to dealers about it - saying "don't pull one out of stock to put one on, they are coming this way on purpose"........ or words to that effect. I'm in my shop and my TSB stuff is in the house on my server. Chromebook in shop can't yet access it.

My Willy's Sport came with one, came off as soon as I got it home. I already have a hood covering my engine.
