To be fair, Stellantis is going to be offering the Charger in both EV form and ICE next year. Someone correct me if I'm wrong here, don't think I am.
Yeah...i don't see people lining up for either.. sorry. Total let down. A charger without a V8 is like a Burger without meat patties.

Well I agree mostly, however I was responding to your comment about police fleet sales. I suspect they will still be on board buying these regardless if it doesn't have a V8. Hell, if it has more power and is more fuel efficient fleet sales may really take off.

There's no Police version planned, that will be on the Durango.

Regardless, people look at things as if this is an American company and NA-centric, and it's neither.

The "struggling" brands are all over seas brands, that were poorly integrated into the corporate structure.

As nice a click bait headline makes, Mr ChryslerJr. isn't buying back Chrysler and bringing back the Hemi and 10 cent hot dogs for Merrica, and Chrysler isn't going anywhere.

The brands most people in here have never heard of, are the ones at risk.

Sure, I’d agree that there’s more SUV cruisers these days. However if you’re investing the money already to bring this car to the NA market it seems like you’d want to capture as many sales as possible, hence a police version. Now, that being said, I have no idea what it might take in additional costs to offer a vehicle that meets “police version” requirements.

Just saw this posted on JL forum...

https://www.autonews.com/automakers-suppliers/jeep-boss-replaces-carlos-zarlenga-stellantis-na-coo

Stellantis replaces North America COO, global CFO
Jeep CEO Antonio Filosa is adding North American COO responsibilities to replace Carlos Zarlenga, whose next role will be announced later. CEO Carlos Tavares to retire in early 2026.

Summary:
  • North American COO Carlos Zarlenga will be replaced after 8 months in this role.
  • Global CFO Natalie Knight is leaving after 15 months with Stellantis
  • Jeep CEO Antonio Filosa will take over COO role (while continuing to be CEO).
  • Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares will retire in early 2026 and has begun process of identifying a successor.

"The moves are part of a series of executive changes announced Oct. 10 that the automaker said will drive simplification and enhance organizational performance in the face of a turbulent global environment." says the article.
It's about frigging time... hopefully not too late... Some good people have left, hope a couple of brand specialists at high levels consider coming back at RAM and JEEP.

They want column shift so the center console can be used for radios, weapon locks, and laptop mounts.
Huh, so the Ford Explorers the police use have column shifts? I never really noticed. Obviously the public versions don’t.

I actually like and prefer the dial shifter on my Ram 1500s. I hope the 2028 5th gen Ram HD goes to a dial shifter.
