Nice! Lucky man. The irony indeed. I can picture the HR sensitivity lecture now.
Idk anything about lucky... but it took me long time to realize this about women:

Beautiful, Easy, Low-Maintenance. You can only choose two!

Stellantis had a handful of Rams, a Hornet, a Charger, Durango, a couple minivans, a Tonale and that's about it. Saddest part is that's really all there is left in the lineup. This company had better get its ship righted and fast.
All the new STLA stuff is rolling out in the next 18 to 24 months.

That's cross overs, mid trucks, small trucks, ICE, BEV, REV.

The Compass and it's twins will move units for Stellantis.

But the idea this dude is going to "slap" Hellcats into imaginary long travel Hellcat JT's is hilarious. That stuff doesn't sell, rental cars sell.

I don't doubt the veracity of your statements and though rental and fleet sales are big moneymakers, they don't build excitement in the brand needed to generate sales in the regular market. That is what is missing overall. (and though a Hellcat in a long travel JT would be awesome that ain't it either)

The bigger question then is can STLA make it to 18-24 months from now when sales are otherwise in the septic tank?

Stellantis has been going bankrupt according to clickbait youtubers for 6 months now.

Overall, they've been going bankrupt since the 70's.

Stellantis still did billions in stock buy backs last year somehow, still pulled in 7% net profit.

BTW, STLA is the chassis architecture I'm referring to. Not the stock ticker.

Like you said, car shows suck nowadays. I stopped going a few years ago. Shit, they don't even have booth babes to ogle anymore to make up for the lack of product.
Yeah excitement and flare of the shows are meh now. Not worth the money for entry and parking. Just wait until all the information comes from the Youtubers

West Michigan has a nice sized car show with local and Detroit companies providing vehicles.

Certainly, Chrysler and its various descendant companies have always been one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel.

So though this is nothing new, this has been noted from more sources than the usual YouTubers farming for engagement. They have real issues, not the least of which is the CEO abruptly resigning and a 15% reduction in comp sales Jan 24 to Jan 25 on the heels of several straight years of declining sales and boneheaded corporate decisions. They need new product and fast.

Also, I knew exactly what you meant. I wasn't referring to chassis designations.

Ms BourbonHunter is the perfect person for a car show: She hates the process of buying so much she'd rather keep a car and run it into the ground rather than set foot on a showroom floor. Using the show to see a variety of vehicles to begin the narrowing process works for someone like her because you can't tell how well the seats cup your ass or how high you'll sit in the saddle online without being BS'ed by some schmuck at the dealer.

For that matter, Toyota and Chevy did it right: Multiple trims of just about every vehicle to show you how they differ, something you will not likely see at your local dealer.

Yes. And its touching me. I need an adult.

...oh, wait. The adult is in the White House now. We'll be fine.
LOL. You mean the adult that want to annex Canada? A sovereign nation? Or the one that wants to buy Greenland, another sovereign nation. No, no, it's must be the one that blame the plane crash on dwarfism. I can't make this sh*t up.

Yeah when my wife goes in for a new vehicle, she already knows what she wants and will not move off from it. She hates the whole finance part. She rather get teeth pulled then sit in a dealership, but I am very much the same.

I ordered my Gladiator and told the sale rep/manager how it was going to happen. I would come in with a bank check for said amount, then a personal check for the tax, title, tag and down payment and I wanted to be in an out in less than an hour. There would be zero sales pitches on extra shit I did not want........if they deviated from that, I would Uber my ass back home. I was in and out in 50 mins.

I hate going into DC unless I'm on the company dime and I have zero intent of supporting the economy of Bodymore, Murderland aka Baltimore, Maryland.......because that place is a fuckin ghetto-ass shitshow. Yup, that's how I feel

I can't argue with anything said here but the Maryland Auto Show is at the Baltimore City Convention Center with fewer manufacturers. And is in Baltimore. So that was out.

45 minutes to get there and an 1:40 getting home. Still beats going to Baltimore.

Far as the shopping process: I tell them what the number is in advance and if they don't agree over email, I'm not coming in. And for God's sake don't call me every 10 days because my name pops up in Salesforce. I told you up front that i'd reach out when I'm ready. And I'm in sales.
