Are there any wiring options that don't require cutting into the factory harness?
I'd much rather undo a few plugs and then insert some new parts in between.
I read Mopar makes one for Wranglers, but I have to lengthen it for my Gladiator I believe.
I know the Cool Tech system is very highly regarded, but I don't want to cut wires on my 6 month old truck. :involve:

Is there a no-cut option?

I've got my tow bar, bumper, and braking system sorted.
Just need to be able to let the folks behind me know I'm stopping.

and on a related note...
If I have to run the wire from the front to the rear, where did you guys run them?

thanks in advance for any recommendations or feedback.

Roadmaster has a wiring kit that includes LED lights to be added to the taillights. No cutting of factory wiring. But you do need to drill a new hole in each taillight. Totally isolates the towed wiring.

Take a look at Hopkins Towing Solutions. They provide plug and play wiring harnesses.

Wireless LED brake lights. You plus into the 7 pin of your motorhome and then the lights are magnetic and should hold to the bottom of your rear bumper.

Here is an example of what I'm talking about. I am in no way recommending these, I just wanted to give you an example. I used the wireless lights before going to the Cooltech system. I never had an issue with the wireless lights. The ones I used I bought at WalMart, but that was 12 years ago.

Now this is a great idea..but I wonder what light bar could do this and would be wide enough to be legal ?

I've tried a couple of different wireless lights. The biggest disadvantage is the lights themselves have batteries that need replaced/recharged.
The first set I had used AA batteries, but I modified them to run off of 12VDC, and plugged them into the Jeep's 7-pin outlet. The lights worked, but they ended up both blinking regardless of which signal (or brakelights) were on.
The set I have now uses rechargeable batteries, and they continue to operate while charging. They blink like they're supposed to.
And watch out where you plan to put them: the magnets won't stick to the plastic bumper or the aluminum tailgate. They will stick to the back corners of the box, but it's pretty rounded back there.
