Yeah, my laptop split (battery swelled destroying keyboard) and our big desktop in my office is 10 years old - hardware is good and really powerful but nothing supports 10 year old hardware (and it's going to give out at some point) and replacing it with something with the capacity it has will be around 1500.took the stock shocks off of my 22 Overland at 4000 miles and threw them away. Replaced with Tereflex Falcons. Much improved ride in every way. I understand you have money flowing in different directions right now, but if you want this fixed right you can do MUCH better than the factory replacements.
Shocks aren't what they used to be so the costs aren't what they used to be, either.
Last time I put 4 shocks on something it was under $150 for all 4. Quality and technology has changed so I expect it's going to be pricy if I do it myself compared to letting Jeep do it and then I save up and replace the replacements when those go south.
