Many of you rightly say that using android auto, without connecting the phone charging, the phone discharges quickly. But I wanted to warn you that, if you have a recent phone, the charging power coming out of the USB ports of the Gladiator is not enough for charging. The galdiator charges too slowly, at just over 0.5A at 5V when it should charge at least 2A 5V.

I have a S21 FE and it is able to charge it while running Google Maps on Android Auto.

The entry options are great, the FOB only leaves my pocket to unlock the gas cap. The phone gets used a lot for work, so has to be plugged in to charge anyway. Adding another device in the mix doesn't work for me.

Us dinosaurs should be able to revert to a previous version pretty easily. I've done it with other apps. You just have to enable developer mode and then download the older version .apk file from a trusted source.
go into your settings for Android Auto and you can turn on and off Taskbar widgets. On is Coolwalk, off goes back to the normal look.

This right here. My galaxy note does requires a higher power charger so I can't use the unconnect usb port. But it is annoying to still have to plug in and using aa wireless. Sometimes I'll get miss connections with aawireless too.

Keeps up fine for ours - at least it doesn't let the phone go dead after a few hours.
I'm not looking for it to go up to 100% while using it, I'm looking for it to not go down to 1% while using AA.
No problems - so it doesn't fast charge. (my wife has a new Flip 4)

I'm rapid charging on a USB-c to USB-c for my pixel 7 using the gladiator. So it's gotta be over 10w

^^^ This. Fast charging only works with usb c
LOL - and me, I should have remembered that.
No wonder we've been ok. I have better C to C cables in each of our Jeeps.
Getting old is hell......

I can't connect Android Auto wirelessly on My Gladiator only with the USB cable.
Is this normal or am I doing something wrong ???
My phone is paired (Pixel 7 Pro) with no issues.
So everytime I want to use Android Auto I have to plug, unplug the USB cable. Becoming annoying.
Thanks in advance.
Okay so I don't like Android Auto period.
I dont have an ijunk by the way. I hate iPhone. Okay so what happens on mine when I plug in the android auto wipes out my contacts and all my saved favorites out of the display then when I get out of the vehicle and come back I have to reprogram them all back in the display. It is an invasive app. And tries to worm its way into every aspect of normal phone operation. And it will hound you on your phone . I actually deleted the stupid app from my phone. S22 Ultra

So turn it off in the radio settings.
I've never had that issue. I just don't like Google maps on the truck's display. Waze works, the music works, the phone works.
AA has nothing to do with the contacts at all. It simply maps the phone screen to the Jeep's radio.
