Nobody waves anymore.

We went up to scout RV campgrounds near Yosemite yesterday. We saw more Gladiators in six hours than we've seen in the previous six months. My wife commented on one with Fuel wheels, she liked them! SOO many people waved, JL's and TJ's and JK's alike, and JT's of course.

Some didn't wave, some we didn't wave back at until too late to see because we were looking at the countryside, it happens.

Guess where you're driving makes a difference.

Is it because "gladiator" or is it not a thing anymore?
I've waved at a ton of people and they just /ignore.
Even the lifted guys.
What gives?

In Minnesota we even waive to Jeepers with WI plates and usually they waive back - but does not apply if you can see Viking horns or a cheese head tri-corner!

Move to rural Texas. Everybody waves at everybody. 2 fingers up over the steering wheel is the custom.

I'm missing my left index finger, so I just wave with all that'r left so as to not offend.

When I bought my 05TJ I would see a few Jeep’s a day. Now when I drive 20 miles to work I see 30-50 keep wranglers/gladiators. I was at a stop light this weekend and there were 6 other Jeep’s at the light. This is in the Phoenix area and to me there are so many Jeep’s that if I waved at one I might not stop waving until I was back at home. Then I would have to wave at a shop full of them. Hopefully Jeep owners don’t take non wavers personally. I would rather talk to them when I see them in the parking lot or on the trail. Maybe I just need the side mirror wave sticker.

The Gladiator is my first Jeep but I felt I got waved at maybe 60% of the time, which isn't tooo bad I thought. Back in my Subaru days you'd get about 20% waves and the Fiesta ST only got waves from other STs which aren't super common. So in my experience the Jeep people are pretty friendly.

Oh, that's in Atlantic Canada, where there are quite a few Jeeps.

I love this!! I don't discriminate - I have lived in MN too. So I love my MN peeps too!!

Most in my area wave (Central FL) except for the mall-crawl, buy it cause it looks cool crowd. I just came back from a trip to the FL Keys towing a boat and NO-ONE waves down there. I presume its because every third vehicle is a jeep of some kind, no kidding. There is only one road, US-1 and I imagine perpetual waving gets old quick. Also I think a good portion down there are rentals from Miami. I felt so weird waving at people and never got one back, I gave up about half way through the trip?. As a side, we counted 234 Jeeps total, 100 mi. each way which equates to 1.17 Jeeps/mi!

That is the issue out here in Denver, everyone rents a jeep. I'm not against the average jeep owner, I embrace that everyone has their own flare on what they use their jeep for. But I'm not waving to every rental jeep (they have red license plates FYI). It's too much.

No waving must be a regional thing, on the Mississippi Gulf Coast people are generally very friendly and either start the wave or return it.

New to the Jeep fam as of Nov 2020. It took me 3 weeks before I got a wave. But the cool thing it was from another Gladiator. Keep waving. Keep smiling.

I wave. If all of us on here wave and keep waving more people will join us. There's a lot of depressing things going on in the world, a good ol' jeep wave always makes me smile. Well, just getting in my jeep brings a smile to my face.
