Early replies said, "report to Jeep". Is this something @JeepCares would worry about, or how do I complain?

I think this is nothing strange. A small advertisement for the dealer, and for your bonuses, everyone benefits. And they do not force it to do, which is important.

You've GOT to be kidding?! Everyone benefits? What about the poor schmucks who follow and see the awards on the wall for perfect service - the salesman awards - gee, I chose the right sales guy - and they get suckered by you into believing they are getting good treatment.
This must be a millennial or gen-x thing as my parents would be rolling over in their graves - no, can't be it because my son, a 2000 graduate, fires people like that.
So it's ok to advertise for a person or company that lies and cheats? And that's what this is. I expect it out of my Representative or Senator - but not anyone I do business with.
There's times like this I'm thankful I'm in Iowa where the work ethic is among the best in the nation and most folks here are appalled at this sort of action.
Me - I'd be turning the sales person in to the management, and then I'd be contacting Jeep and I'd forego the package and give them all 1's.
No wonder the world is as it is.
Sorry for the rant, folks - but lying, cheating, under the table deals - it's all wrong to me. And it causes problems for the NEXT GUY thinking he's walking into a great place. You just told the next person walking in a lie. All so you could get something free.
I guess it's the something for nothing world. I don't have to work hard at all if I can tell enough whoppers and cheat my way through life.

I took it that way but there are those on the forum that believe all that they read...

just wanted to make a clarifying remark to that effect...

I went ahead and filled out my survey. Event hough some of the items in the survey were not addressed, I previously had a Rubicon JL and there are not too many differences with my new Rubicon JT. I got the ordered price agreed upon with the dealer and everything was good, so I gave all 10s even though some items should have been NA.

I'm good with the NA items - not their fault and not yours that something simply didn't apply......... there will always be those areas where gee, I didn't have that problem so the dealer didn't have to do that - well, if all else was great you could likely assume that would have been as well. So if everything else was a 10 - one can assume that one other item likely would have been as well. And some dealers and sales people do deserve great scores - but to lump them in with other garbage by giving 10s to those who didn't earn it - you are saying that doing a great job doesn't matter. It's like certain, well, won't mention it as it could get political - but in some places - doesn't matter if you are smart, you excel, you do a great job or try hard - the liar and cheater next to you will get the same prize.

I haven't got the Jeep survey yet, last year I stopped in at a business selling vehicles and outdoor stuff. I got a survey from there on my service from there. I filled it out rating on what I experienced with them. I was contacted by email by owner on how to "correct" the problems I had. We ended up with a few emails back and forth I explained that I don't give "freebies" of everything is perfect, and that I did have good service from there. I explained that I had no basis for reviewing what I didn't have service in. I gave him a follow-up to see my other reviews on businesses and to note no automatic 5 stars review. I don't go out to bash a company, business or a personal grudge. Some times it's needed even then I try to give myself a "cool down" before doing it. One I have done is a local restaurant, there should be a option for negative stars. I expected a email for that one.

The Ram dealer I got my previous truck from in 2012 told me they strive for perfect scores so they can get better deals from corporate and pass them on to their customers telling me “If there’s anything so far that you’re not 100% satisfied on let me know so we can address it now, and if anything comes up in the future, I ask you to let me know immediately so it can be handled properly. Customer service is our highest priority” this from the sales manager handing me HIS business card as I was heading into the finance office. Joked about a free truck... he and the finance guy laughed then the finance guy joked “what if I can get you close?” (Qualified for 0% interest deal they had going.) :turkey:

On the flip side, went to a different dealer for the challenger because they gave me more for my trade and better discount on the car but they told me they would give four free oil changes when they got the survey back IF I gave them perfect scores. They got perfect scores on some things regarding the deal they gave me and the ease and friendliness of the financing department but got low scores on integrity and honesty. When Dodge rep called to ask about the scores I told them exactly what happened and that I wouldn’t be going back to that dealer again.

Sadly the dealership has changed hands and the new owners are apparently even worse. A couple years ago My wife was comparing Ford Edge, Jeep GC and ?(can’t remember). They were the only one that had a GC with exactly the options she wanted so we went there just to look at it so she could compare. Numerous attempts to pressure her into applying for financing, sales manager got in on it asking to run MY credit to “make sure she could get the car she wanted” I literally laughed out loud (she makes twice what I do - yes the IRS LOVES us) the funniest part was when I mentioned FCA getting cleared to start selling eco diesels again and asked when they foreseen getting some in for test drives (she drives 70+ miles round trip to work each day so mileage is important). The guy scoffed at me and told me they won’t be selling diesels for many years. Showed him the online article in Forbes magazine talking about the fines they had to pay and that they were now cleared to start selling diesels again. He started arguing with me telling me that it was false and that if it were true he would know and that rather than wait on that pipe dream we should just go ahead and purchase the one they had there. As we walked out my wife loudly announced “now I see why you would never buy another car from these (jerks)!” Another couple nearby told the salesman soliciting them “No thanks” and walked towards their car. I had to smile about that part.

As for the OP, don’t sell your integrity. If they did a great job at this or that, then by all means give them a good score on those things. If they didn’t, be honest and post why in the comment section. Don’t ding a dealer for not giving you XX amount more for your trade then others or not giving as much discount as Tom, Dick or Harry (that’s on you for not going elsewhere) but if someone treated you poorly or if they said they would have your truck ready by 9am and you were stuck there until 3pm, say so. As a former business owner, I wouldn’t know where to improve or how my employees were doing when I wasn’t around if my customers weren’t honest.

What are you complaining about exactly??? The survey is simple, rate the dealer a 10 and you win. If you don't think the dealer was a 10 in all or any of the categories on the survey then, mark it accordingly. The note from the dealer does not say you "have' to do anything. There is no 'or else' (both quotes are from your original post).

This is nothing more than marketing by the dealership, nothing to complain or make a big deal about.

You rate the dealer proving honest feedback based on YOUR experience, regardless of anything else . If you mark all 10's based on your experience, great you win the grand prize. If you rate less than 10 then, it is up to the dealer to figure out how to improve.

Lastly, YOU have the choice to not even participate in the survey. Delete it. Problem solved. No harm, no foul. Nothing to say here!

I first came across this phenomena when I was dealing on EBAY. You know, back when it was fun? After they changed to rules that a seller's funds would be withheld pending positive feedback (for up to 30 days), I had buyers asking for after the fact price drops, free shipping, etc. because they "could not, in good conscience, give me positive feedback unless I complied."
I refused to be a feedback hostage then and I refuse now. I was a clerk in a gun shop for a number of years and the manager would freak out if we got anything less than perfection on Google reviews. He would call the customer and practically beg to get the feedback revised as people really do pay attention to this nonsense. It's rigged, everyone knows it's rigged, yet most everyone plays.

After listening to the salesman's 20 minute spiel about the survey and if I thought any area was less than a 10 to talk to them first, I NEVER received the survey.

So I guess that in itself is a 0.........

I was pressed to rate selling dealer all 10's. They were maybe a 7 at best.
Another dealer for steering TSB which I faught with handed me a memo asking for all 10's. BS! Doesn't anyone one want real and honest feedback so they can continue to improve.

I rated both honestly! You will get My 10 when you earn it!

If I don't then the next guy losses.

The correct response is to give him the 10's then go to a competitor to use all the benefits . And never buy from him again.

Here’s my dealership survey story…

A couple of years ago when the steering box issue was finally diagnosed properly as a faulty design and Jeep came out with new boxes for both the Wrangler and Gladiator I brought my JTR to the dealer and he promptly order the part and said he’d call me in a few days when it came in. Fine. So when I got the call I dropped the truck off and later that day picked it back up

Thankfully, due to the information presented on this board I knew to check the part number of the installed pump. Jeep had redesigned the pump and there were 3 different variations; one for the 2 door Wrangler, one for the JLU and one for the Gladiator. Well the one put on my truck was for the 2 door Wrangler (probably the lightest duty of the 3). When I walked back in to see the service manager he tried to tell me that they were all the same and there’s no problem. I asked to see his PhD degree in engineering and called him out on it. He agreed to order the correct replacement part. In the days I was waiting I got one of those surveys and put down all 1’s!

The next day I got a call from the service manager that the part was in AND also got a call from the GM asking what went on and I gave him the complete story… The SM was gone the next time I went in…as he should have.

Similar story here from the mid-1980s. Brand new Eagle wagon - sat lower on the left side. I took it back to the dealer and they said nothing wrong with it. I insisted, and finally, if I recall (man, it's hell getting old) they replaced some springs. Still a problem.
Anyway, the DM got involved and I got the car back level with different springs. (apparently had right side springs on both sides) or something like that - I'd have to check my AMC parts books)
A month later I went to the Chevy dealer parts department for some parts for a truck I was working on for a customer of mine and guess who was a parts runner - the former service manager from the AMC/Jeep dealership.

In your case all they had to do was plug your VIN into the computer or look up the part by application. Different ratios, different wheel bases, etc.
Sounds like the guy that tried to tell me my winch was draining my batteries. I guess the big red fat switch next to the battery marked winch - in the off position didn't matter.
To make it worse, they "fixed it" by moving the winch ground cable from the top of the IBS over to the body ground - where the big cable from the battery went to. Uh, folks, if I drew a schematic of that - it would be identical to how I had it save for one added junction and short cable.
