Before I start, yes I know there is a search function, but this more fun.

Just used my last free oil change a couple of months ago. Probably going to start doing oil changes myself. For those of you that do it yourselves, I want to know what is your go to oil and filter that you trust more than any other.
Also, what else do you check or change during your oil change? I have the Mopar performance air filter, so I will be checking it and blowing it out with air. I will also rotate my tires every oil change.

Any MS-6395 spec oil that is on sale and a OEM MOPAR oil filter.

Since you started a oil thread, regardless of what you pick, you will be doing it wrong to somebody.

Never use any type of compressed air in an attempt to clean the filter, you can damage the filter. There should have been instructions supplied with that filter. Follow them.

IMO, if you want the best air filtration possible (and anyone starting an oil thread must be looking for validation that they are doing what is best for their engine) simply use a regular Mopar air filter and change it regularly. If you run a lot in very dusty conditions, this could potentially be at every oil change.

It came factory on the truck and I didn’t notice it on the lot before I bought it. So, it didn’t come with instructions, but I will google it. I actually took it out and replaced it with a Wix filter 20,000+ miles ago, but recently put it back in. May go back to the Wix.

So you'll Google that, but not search for the multiple other threads on this same subject?

Well here goes another ??? show.
Use your preferred poison "Oil" staying within Mopar specs. Go figure you can get a Mopar marked oil filter for the same price range as any other brand. With up to 10000 miles of oil life cycle (on a gasser). Is it that much of a stretch to drop not even a half price of 1/2 tank of fuel??? S###

I can’t understand why there are some people who just can’t pass up a thread. Just by reading the title, you already know you are going to make some sort of smartass remark. What’s the point?? Do y’all need to be on some sort of medication? Is it an addiction? Is there a proper name for “oh this person didn’t research the subject before posting”itis? Or are y’all just Jeep Gladiator Karens??
