Old School Jeeps

I've had a few older Jeeps. You can see all of them in my sig.
Many of these are Internet pictures since all my pictures from "back then" have been lost.

1982 AMC Eagle (I still consider it an early Jeep) I really would love to find one in good shape again.

And my 1989 Jeep Comanche. Mine had a burgundy interior and decals. It is what made me want a Gladiator so bad when Jeep announced them.

And, of course, I own this 1952 Willys Pickup I hope to restore someday.

It was "AMC/Jeep/Eagle" then "Jeep/Eagle".

My wife took this shortly after we met in 88. I've got other pics of it somewhere. 87 Comanche.
Below that is my "Jeep/Eagle" rig.

Awesome thread i love seeing old jeeps. i grew up in cj5 and cj7 s and j10s my first jeep was a 94 yj and had about 9 jeeps since wish i kept pictures of more of them. I havent bought a gladiator yet still on the fence between a 21 leftover willys or a 22 rubi 10k difference in price got me stuck

My 1986 Comanche. I grew up with this truck my grandfather ordered it in 1985 I have the window sticker, bill of sale everything. He used to pick me up from school in it. We worked on it together all the time. He passed away in 2009 and it was barely running at that time. The 2.8 V6 was tired. I have spent the last 10 years gathering parts and working on it here and there till last year when I got serious. I put an LS1 / 4L60E in it, whole new interior. It’s at the paint shop right now getting painted sarge green. Show quality paint and body work. It’s been a long road. Can’t wait to get it back to reassemble everything and get it running.

I made a terrible mistake of selling my 2020 Rubicon in august. I replaced it in December with a 2021 Willys. This one will not be sold. I regret selling the rubicon every day.

Unfortunately new england got the best of the comanche. Frame rotted right in half while my dad was driving it. He still drove it home. Over 300k miles on it. Most reliable truck i ever owned.

Good times back in the day with my '83 CJ-8 Scrambler...New Hampshire spring wheeling...doors off, top off, windshield down. Smashed rear left quarter, broken passenger mirror, random oil leak...$$$...topless wheeling in the woods...priceless.

Very cool post. I am always thrilled to meet a Jeep owner with a new rig and strong ties to the old heritage.

The orange TJ was my daily driver of eight years until my '21 Gladiator (Willys, Ecodiesel), came home the first of this year. The TJ is stretched 15" rides on 37" tires. It's now relegated to trail Jeep duties.

The blue CJ is a '75 CJ6, all stock, all manual everything! It's my wife's rig and we enjoy local cruises for fun and trips to the woods for picnics. It get far more attention than the bigger TJ-6!
